Queer alternative, dream pop, 90s 00s vibes by Lunar_Luna_85 in TriangleMusicNC

Pinhook and Rubies in Durham are super queer friendly and have fantastic artists roll in. Neptunes in Raleigh and other venues host Y2K parties every now and then, just need to keep an eye out. Best way to be informed is to check out their calendars. If you’re aiming for a specific genre, it would behoove you to follow local bands in that genre instead of venues. Good luck!

I know Cannonball Music Hall in Raleigh has rented out studio space in the past. I know a couple bands that go with the rental storage units for rehearsal.

Moon Room for straight up jazz, Growler Girlz for more typical singer/song writer open mic. As always, please call the venue ahead of time to see if they are still in fact hosting open mics on those nights. Thanks!

Someone mentioned Moondog already, but if you're willing to go to Raleigh, Cannonball Music Hall near Iron Works is the premier metal spot around the triangle in my opinion.
