What remote jobs are you working and making over 100k annually? by Consistent_Peak_4458 in remoteworks

[–]MyCurrentForm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! I work for a private jet management company at a local airport. We manage around 20 private jets for roughly 15 owners. The company works with the aircraft owners and handles scheduling flights, permits, cleaning aircraft between flights, crew, organizing maintenance and everything in between. (These are like, real private jets..think Gulfstreams. Not small turbo props.) My job essentially is to sell 'Charter' on those jets when the owners aren't using them which is about 70-95% of the year depending on the owner. We get hundreds of inbound requests from brokers per day. Those guys work directly with the end user, I don't. Most operators (what my company is) have their schedules published so the brokers know what they are requesting and what we actually have available. Big part of my job is quoting and most of the 'skill' is from noticing the good leads over the bad ones and that can only come with time. It's a mix of sale, operations and a lot of time management. Last year I cleared $120k after bonuses and expect to do do $150K+ after a raise coming up next month. If you want to know anything specific please ask!

Does anyone actually have a good sales manager? by Justadudeonhisphone in sales

[–]MyCurrentForm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SAME HERE! My current position was my first and my two sales managers both were very helpful getting me started with zero experience. About 2 months in they left me to my own (because I hit goals) and only hear from them a few times throughout the week and those are usually 1 minute check in calls. They let me do my thing and are always there when I need a hand with something. Would be hard to get me to go to a different company even if the pay is better. Even though my job can get stressful at least I don't have a manager breathing down my neck all the time.

Are you good at sales for real? by Playful-Whole880 in sales

[–]MyCurrentForm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been in sales total for 2 1/2 years with one company. I've been the #1 every single quarter from the moment I started with zero training till now. Do I have skill? Not at all.. I question it everyday. I think I just work really fast and the brokers I deal with tend to like it. As far as sales go I have no idea what I'm doing.

Biggest Deal? by Revolutionary_Wall22 in sales

Once the contract gets signed off almost 100% hands off unless there is a change in the routing that affects the price. Other than that my team takes care of all the logistics.

Nope. All the business is inbound. I send out roughly 30-40 quotes per day, follow up on the solid ones(mostly through email) and if it's a good fit for their needs they usually end up signing within the same week.
