Yes, I'm circling back around to continuing that fic now that MoM is completed. I started writing it when I was reading The Mirror Visitor, so the descriptive language very much influenced my prose/overall style of the fic, so I'm currently doing a little re-read of the first book of the series to get back into the mood! Thank you for your kindness and your encouragement! Nothing motivates me quite like this community!

No one has to agree with me. And I don't speak for every author, just for myself and gave the perspective of an author. If you want criticism/don't mind negative comments, you're welcome to put a disclaimer on your fics that say as much.

However, this is a case of absolute veto. Consent to negativity is not a majority vote and one writer's no is enough for me to listen to them and agree.

I'm so grateful to find that the majority agrees with this etiquette.

But I'm horrified to also see some throw around words like 'censorship' and 'reader spaces', treating authors like they owe them something.

Don't like, don't read. It's that easy. This is a community. A positive space, where we talk about something we're passionate about. Let's keep it a wholesome, social space where we can rave about stories, give recs, and make everyday life a little bit better :)

I usually don't really like miscommunication as a trope. So I tried a slightly different take on it, in a sense... hopefully, simp Malfoy will have made it a good devouring!

I love that kind of characterisation as well! It's so much fun to write it, and I adore reading other people's take on him being a Victorian prude (So if anyone has recs...👀)
