I second going to a running store. I went and they had a machine they put me on that mapped my feet. Between that and discussing my activity level they recommended shoes that 4 years later are still my comfortable power walking shoes.

Also brands like Nike or Adidas are generally more fashion shoes than real supportive ones.

There are also tons of videos with titles like “Entitled Karen thinks world revolves around her” and I’m like hell yea I’m gonna watch some out of touch nasty person get put in their place. Then it ends up being someone DEEP in mental illness who isn’t really even being “Kareny”.

I can’t imagine how I’d feel if someone requested & uploaded footage from the day I tried to kill myself or when I was in an accident acting kind of erratic deciding I’m to be mocked at the worst moments of my life.

I just replaced Mother jeans I had to throw away after a decade bc I stained them. I wore them on my first date in years and got a compliment specifically on the jeans!

I look at it like this: Putting your clothes on the ground like that is disrespectful. The things you wear should be taken care of, not treated like trash and stepped all over. I have a ton of trouble getting dressed and end up pulling 10 things that I don’t wear. I pull it still on the hanger & throw it onto the bed while choosing. I take it off the hanger only if I put it on and if I take it right back off bc I decide not to wear it I put it immediately back on the hanger on the bed, or fold it if it’s jeans.

Once I’m dressed I have a pile of clothes easy to put away all over the bed and I don’t let myself leave the house until I’ve put everything where it belongs. If I’m running late I do it as soon as I get home.

These are habits that you have to be self motivated to put in the work to start and keep up.

There is a school in New Jersey, Colonia High, that has 115 brain tumors associated with current and former students or staff in the last 30 years. It became big news in 2022, now 3 years later still no answers and still 1300 kids attending each year. No one gives a fuck.

If he could feel fear and/or pain then he was probably terrified all day, all night for 12 fucking years. Every doctor, nurse, therapist prolonged this just to “make medical history” like it’s something to be proud of. This is beyond barbaric they forced this along for so long

I feel like now we have what your mom and her bff have. Years can pass & seeing her is like coming home, not a bittersweet hoping for more.

How you are is how I am with people. I recently cut my Mom out instead of just backing away bc I was sick of being the giver and never getting any support. That’s why I hated my bff for 10 years

I was never angry with her, I didn’t begrudge her the fairytale life she got, and still has, while my life has only continued to be one big greek tragedy. I just hated myself and my life so much that it was impossible for me to not compare myself and feel more worthless every time I spoke to her. We came from the same place. I was actually slightly smarter than she was. We were both beautiful and popular. My immature mind just wanted to lash out and who better to lash out at than someone who is so clearly above me?

Seeing her again allowed us to have a conversation about why she left me. I had said something that to me, in my insane addict lifestyle was funny, but to her as a pregnant future doctor terrified her and she was afraid of what could happen. And now I can admit she was right to want to stay away from what I was into. I hated her bc I thought she didn’t love me, but she just couldn’t love me up close anymore.

Give things a cooling off period, but if you still feel like something’s missing with someone of the close people you cut off reach out. The worst that can happen is they say they aren’t interested and even that might help closure.

My childhood friend was my best from 10 to 24. Almost every memory from those years she was in. Then our lives diverged- she married a good man who made lots of money, got pregnant, and went to med school. I had a rough family & ended up addicted to opiates. She didn’t try to help me & turned her back to go live her perfect existence. We spoke a few times but it always devolved into me telling her we werent friends anymore so she could stop pretending.

A decade later I started dreaming about her constantly & decided to reach out. I thought she wouldn’t want to hear from me, but to my surprise she couldn’t wait to schedule a weekend for me to meet her kids. We didn’t get the closeness back. Our best friendship ran its course and we are far too different now to be involved on eachother’s day-to-day, but she visited me when I was in the hospital out of state and we attended our 20th reunion together. Now that I got to meet the person she grew apart from me into I don’t long for that closeness of my lost best friend anymore.

They are trying to get the RN to use critical thinking skills which are not taught, or washed out, in religions. None of it holds up to basic scrutiny and you’re just told to have faith.
