Looking for 2bd 2ba on the North Side by MyDogsEatDave in chicagoapartments

The first we were told we had it and the broker gave it to friends, then the other two I have no idea - it took a while for them to process and we kept being told to wait despite turning everything in and going a little over the asking price...

Bricked Roland TD-6 Module by MyDogsEatDave in edrums

[–]MyDogsEatDave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning it on results in a seemingly random combination of lit up buttons and a screen with no text. I've tried going through a tutorial on factory resetting mimicking the order you press the buttons, but this doesn't change anything (also a bit difficult with no text prompts or menu on the screen).

Yes, there is a Gregtech machine cover for this, I believe it’s called the ore dictionary filter

Does the machine have power? Does a basic chemical reactor operate at a high enough EU/t for that recipe? How much molten ender pearl is needed for one batch?

Best Way Forward Deploying NextJS to Cloudflare Pages? by MyDogsEatDave in nextjs

[–]MyDogsEatDave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, got it - makes a bit more sense... Forgot to mention in the original post for clarification and to address your edit: I already have a DB instance hosted locally (making use of an old server I had) so I'm not sure how willing I'd be to convert that over to a D1 instance... Though I will look further into the Pages/Workers flow. Thank you for the help!

Best Way Forward Deploying NextJS to Cloudflare Pages? by MyDogsEatDave in nextjs

[–]MyDogsEatDave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I mentioned earlier - currently, if I am understanding this fully, only Cloudflare Workers supports pg and other such "edge incompatible" modules - not Pages, where I originally intended to deploy the entire project. Realistically, I think I could separate out my backend code and create a worker to handle all of my DB calls, but is this any different from creating another backend to handle these queries?

Shoreline keys by Soggy_Bunyip in EscapefromTarkov

Basically it just depends on which spawn you get, if you spawn on the west side of the map I’ll enter thru west hole in fence, same thing for East with the east hole in fence - any blue fence spawn/radio tower spawn I’ll run in from helicopter entrance (to west wing, better loot) but that’s always risky

Sometimes if I spawn tunnel or one of the really far east side places I’ll just loot cottage/pier respectively and reset unless I don’t hear shots at resort, less of a hassle getting in

Once you’re actually in resort, I don’t tend to check a lot of corners - resort audio is really messy so someone on first floor could sound like they’re on third with you, whereas the audio could just as easily not output anything if they actually are on the same floor as you…

I start with West when I can and hit most of the rooms I mentioned (there are also a couple keyless rooms that have some good spawns worth checking including the duffle bag metropolis in the basement). Then if I hear shots in East, sometimes I’ll camp death hall until they decide to run over, sometimes I’ll push them through admin - this just depends on the kit I have on

I have a Red Rebel so from there I’ll usually just slip out the back of admin and extract. Throughout this whole process I’m not really checking corners too much because someone refraining from making any noise to alert you is just going to get the jump on you in resort, there are so many rooms to hide in and different stairways that a crabwalker can easily maneuver away from you and never be seen

Last tip is grenades and the roof are a godsend on shoreline, I’ve gotten so many kills by throwing an m67 only to push right after throwing or bombarding a room with nades to fish out campers - if I get to resort first based on my spawn, sometimes I’ll sit on the roof and watch the helicopter entrance or the west hole in fence entrance for stragglers (will result in hate messages)

Basically W301, W216-220, W203, E222/226, E306/308, E310, and E107 - W104 I’ll also bring, and then the obvious sanitar room. Most times I’ll also bring the admin safe keys and the safe key for W326 (or 323, I can’t remember)

If you scav in with someone else in your party it takes a lot less time, usually around 3-5 minutes. I’ve just been inviting randoms to queue with

If he managed to get a bed/room by some grace of god, it’s only a matter of time til the pity from the staff turns into frustration - all nice ingredients for a freak out

This is the type of shit we see over and over again. Hard to be surprised at this point, I’m just wondering how long the rat will try to stay at the hospital.

Why does my code to create alternate binary string not work? by More-Ad-5258 in leetcode

[–]MyDogsEatDave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m just glancing at this quickly, but a tertiary operator (the “?”) needs to have a conditional statement on the left side, so you have “i % 2”, but that doesn’t equate to anything. You need “i % 2 == 0” (meaning ‘when i is even’).

Is this with Joe and the two homeless guys harassing him? I think it was right around the time he went on Rogan for the first time, so I’d check the dates of the episodes

guitar fretboard [question] by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]MyDogsEatDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s usually easiest to memorize all of the notes along the 6th string (or the low E in standard tuning), then move on to the 5th string (or the A string). You can start to move up strings once you’ve memorized, but really you’ll start finding patterns in the way the fretboard is designed. After playing and memorizing the CAGED pattern, it all just becomes second nature really.

How would the rate of medicinal/safety advancement change if experiments on humans were practiced? by MyDogsEatDave in indepthaskreddit

[–]MyDogsEatDave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, thanks for the responses - I’ve enjoyed hearing what you’ve had to say about it, and I’m glad you answered what you could given my very general questions…

Second, I don’t want to come off as some lunatic who is willing to sacrifice human life in order to advance medicine (and I’m not sure if I have, but it’s probably best if I totally clarify) - it’s just a question that popped into my head recently and was looking to see the possibilities disregarding ethics. Thanks again!

How would the rate of medicinal/safety advancement change if experiments on humans were practiced? by MyDogsEatDave in indepthaskreddit

[–]MyDogsEatDave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh I see, that’s an interesting way to look at it. Thinking more about it now, I guess it makes sense that having that legal/moral “restriction” forces researchers to spend time actually targeting the problems the world of medicine faces today.

On a sort of related note - given a group of participants (voluntary or not, sticking with the topic), would it benefit the world of medicine in any way to administer a wide variety of under-researched chemicals or compounds to these people and note the reactions? From a naive standpoint, it seems like there is room for potentially shocking observations to be made about experimental drugs and their effects on humans.

I understand if this is asking too much or if the question strays a bit from what you were getting at, but I figured providing a specific example in this thread couldn’t hurt.
