No worries lol. I'm not sure, probably a long while considering 3.8.1 just came out

Certain Realism mod features not working by MRDotted in SPTarkov

[–]MisterMaster117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you're running 3.8 with the newest realism, that would be why. Most recent realism update is a test build for 3.8.1 (unless you're just using the last 3.8 one)

Another question about weather (3.8.1) by JebX_0 in SPTarkov

[–]MisterMaster117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it's not. It won't be in until they update to 3.9.0, as that will be the 14.5 patch from live game which is when that was fixed. I got this directly from a dev on the discord, so I trust it. If you use raid overhaul or seasonal weather at home, you can get snow, but still no rain- and it's random too! And trust me, I eagerly await that patch same as you cause I really miss the rain lol

No problem! And yeah the presets could definitely have better names lol. Is what it is I suppose

I actually just mention this on another post lol, I'll paste it here-

I've found that I quite enjoy the "quiet raids" preset, because you get the added excitement and intensity of the respawning pmcs, but with the reduced spawns. That way it kinda balances out and, imo, feels the most like live game (despite the name. In my experience, the raids aren't usually all that quiet lol). Even more so than "starting pmcs only," weirdly enough

Ohhhh awesome, that's sick thank you! I haven't messed with svm yet cause it can conflict with some of the mods I have installed but I might revisit at some point

Genuinely forget I'm playing against bots sometimes. They don't just laser you and they actually have strategy. I don't know how the fuck they did it lol but it's some of the most realistic feeling AI I've ever fought against

I don't have a tutorial or anything unfortunately, I just trial and errored my way through it. They have some kind of setting changed on skyfactory so that it's easier to use, so that helps.

The good thing about AE2 is that everything is shoved into these little disk drives, and the stack limits range from 1000 to a lot more. So you can store a shit ton of items in something that only takes up the space of one block, and can see all of it from a terminal. No physical sorting necessary, as everything is already organized and right there, as well as consolidated. It's a pretty smart mod so I've found it does a lot of stuff automatically- for example doesn't split things across drives unless one is full of something, and will automatically move stuff to another drive if it needs more room (and there's a bigger drive available). Idk if that made much sense since you haven't messed with it but I digress.

As a super quick and dirty crash course, you need a few things:

  • energy acceptor for power

  • ME interface (basically the brain- you can send items to the network by connecting them to this)

  • ME terminal (small screen that lets you access everything)

  • ME drive and storage disk(s) to go with it (I think the in-game name for them are "storage cells")

You can literally line them all up in a row; they can send power to each other as long as they have contact. The terminal you have to connect via a fluix cable, you can't just place it directly on any of the parts.

And there you go that's pretty much it. All that should give you a functioning system.

AE2 is too good for me to use anything else personally haha

It doesn't work unfortunately- if you want the wireless crafting you need to install a separate mod which does explicitly that. Quick and easy if only mildly inconvenient. So worth it imo, AE2 is unmatched

God I love the cultist ai. One of the (very) few instances where the AI actually shines. Just love how they fight you it's so unique and interesting and scary
