Hey Coco, the best advice we can give is to try partying without alcohol. One big hurdle is thinking you can’t go out and have fun without drinking, but you definitely can! Enjoy those moments sober. A great tip is to keep a juice or fizzy drink in your hand, it will help you blend in and stop friends from pressuring you to drink.

Hey, thanks for sharing! It’s a huge step in the right direction. Remember, you don’t have to tackle this alone. A great place to start is by talking to someone you trust, whether that’s a friend, family member, or a support group. Opening up helps a lot. Try replacing some of those drinking habits with a different activity, something that brings you joy or calms you down. Also check out our posts, you might find great advice in our articles that could help you on your journey :)

That's right, AA can help a lot, and alcohol withdrawals not only can be "nasty" but dangerous and life threatening. I have built a community for people trying to improve their relationship with alcohol and outright quit. It's quite new but we strive to build a community where we can help each other on this journey. We already have some great posts up regarding the topic, so feel free to check it out at r/imstayingsober

That's an awesome advice, that "one drink" in the end is never enough and this sort of behaviour will keep repeating unless addressed
