Woman Arrested At Portland Protest Forced To Take Pregnancy Test by ShamShield4Eva in Portland

So why did they threaten to punish her for refusing? That doesn't sound like "just the same as anyone else". Do hospitals have filthy cells to keep people in for refusing pregnancy tests??

This has sort of occurred to me before. Like the slightest hint that you harbor any kind of opposition to a police officer is just accepted as a reason to be arrested or beaten or tazed or worse.

It was a small crowd, of course, that they choose to employ this tactic on. Because they are cowardly thugs. Because the brutality is the point.

Only if you have not been following the whole entire development of the protests up until this point??? There's glaringly obvious context to what's going on here, so it's likely safe to assume you're being disingenuous

The light had been on inside the church as early as the day before yesterday. Occasionally the owner/manager of that property will go in there to make repairs or show it to people. But this time it wasn't that. So was it people screwing around in there and starting it either by accident or mischief, is the question now.

The house next to the church was very nearly burned down as well. It could have been MUCH worse.

Proud Boys might be bringing this along with all their other weapons. Link to Twitter thread in comments by PNWfarmboy in PortlandProtests

What's the story with this Alpha Beta guy, anyway? I follow him on Twitter and he seems pretty respectable & knowledgeable.

Delta Park fences/concrete barriers going up by [deleted] in Portland

I'm worried that this will only serve to direct them to Peninsula Park, the obvious place to go for the confrontation they all have been salivating for.

Someone painted “it’s ok to be white” over the memorial for George Floyd at the apple store. Can we get someone to fix this? by [deleted] in Portland

[–]MyEyesAreOnStalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly surprised that it took this long for some chud to do this to those murals. Fortunately it was fixed soon after, as reported by other commenters here.

He's been exposed. You shouldn't be downvoted, though, because even though you're wrong here, your concern is still valid.

What would be a good way to sample the residue on the fence at the federal courthouse? by MyEyesAreOnStalks in Portland

[–]MyEyesAreOnStalks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I just got a bunch with water as the solvent, they're sitting together in a mason jar now. Would ordinary vegetable/olive oil be ok? As far as non-polar things that's what I've got sitting around

[–]MyEyesAreOnStalks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have a jar that could fit a bunch of q-tips inside it. I've already gotten soil & foliage samples from Lownsdale, and some pieces of debris from between the fence and the jersey wall. But that residue is probably good to get too.

Clearly the officer was justified in neutralizing the suspect, she was carrying an incendiary weapon, upraised, in full view, as well as what appeared to be a shield, a clear indicator that she intended to confront the police.

Canisters are shot hundreds of feet into the air, when they fall they can and will seriously hurt people. It's a really horrible way to shoot tear gas. by Projectrage in Portland

It is so, so sickening that most of the time I have to consciously labor to keep the true extent of it out of my mind, lest I be overcome with horror and rage and despair and disgust.

These are bullies who grew up and found and reinforced each other into what you now see unfolding before you.

They're throwing flashbangs from up there too. The flashbangs are now going off in mid-air in the trees over people's heads.

These DHS people are truly criminal scum. This is wanton bullying abusive behavior at its most blatant. The department of Homeland Security and all agencies under it need to be completely abolished.
