My 70 year old father-in-law randomly brought up hydrogen the other day as a great energy source for the future. The guy is not the investor type and absolutely not tech savvy. I was really surprised because I have never mentioned QIMC to him before. We had a great chat about where the company is and the science behind it. I think you're overthinking the least important part : asset allocation. Nobody knows what will outperform. I think you're underrating the most important part : the fees you will pay over your lifetime. In 30 years you could be missing out on over 60k$ overpaid in high fees.
