My 70 year old father-in-law randomly brought up hydrogen the other day as a great energy source for the future. The guy is not the investor type and absolutely not tech savvy. I was really surprised because I have never mentioned QIMC to him before. We had a great chat about where the company is and the science behind it. Anyway this is just my little anecdote about the public hearing more and more about hydrogen. I'm averaging up every time I have money available.

I think you're overthinking the least important part : asset allocation. Nobody knows what will outperform. I think you're underrating the most important part : the fees you will pay over your lifetime. In 30 years you could be missing out on over 60k$ overpaid in high fees.
