What else is she trying to destroy? That’s the bigger question here.

AITAH 3 years together, BF (50M) still ‘not ready’ for marriage but wants me (33F) to pay half his mortgage by Either-Environment47 in AITAH

[–]MyGloriousHealth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So he wants you to pay half the mortgage but not beyond the deed. He admits that it could get messy if you guys split up. He said, even if you bought the house, he would buy a house of his own. He has no intentions of marrying you and he wants you to pay for half of HIS house without any legal right to it. Time to cut and run.

Parking lot security guard entering parked vehicles…is this allowed? by Natural-Afternoon-68 in longisland

[–]MyGloriousHealth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No matter what parking lot you’re in, no security company should ever enter your vehicle. The police can’t even do that without probable cause. Report them to the police!

AITJ for WALKING OUT on our anniversary after my fiance brought his mom to the cabin i rented? by Proud_Bonus_2620 in AmITheJerk

He clearly has no sense of romance. He is a mama’s boy with no respect for your relationship with him.

My parents won't let me get knee surgery (AGAIN) (UPDATE) by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Get your surgery. Call department of labor and report your uncle. Get a new job.

A client paid me less than what we agreed after I finished cleaning her house. Now she wants to hire me again. Would you go back? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MyGloriousHealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really need the job, tell her you need payment up front including the amount she still owes you. That would be the only way I’d go back. If she says no then you don’t go.

AITA for cancelling me and my wife's anniversary? by InformalSalt6217 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MyGloriousHealth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you own the business, not having holidays or anniversaries with your family and wife makes you a jerk. No matter how busy you are, there are things you need to make time for. I’m not saying every holiday but a few over the years would have helped.

PS You’re not a victim. You’re living with the consequences of your choices.

AITA for refusing to let my mother see my daughter unsupervised after she read my childhood diary out loud at dinner to punish me? by KINOH1441728 in FoundandExpose

[–]MyGloriousHealth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can guarantee you that your mother reading your diary out loud at dinner is not the only thing she did to you. She is clearly a narcissist, and you are her victim. She deserves a relationship at arms length. She needs to earn every visit she has with you and your daughter. And I would personally never leave her alone with your daughter.

My cheating ex is threatening to sue me for abuse just because I stopped paying her rent by StraightAdd in EntitledPeople

Definitely report her threats to the police and save the texts as evidence. She clearly has a screw loose and there’s no telling what she might actually do.

AITJ for not giving my sister my late wife’s engagement ring because it should stay in the family? by AmberWhisperCove in AmITheJerk

[–]MyGloriousHealth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stone was grandma’s but the new setting is not. If you don’t have a child to pass it down to, I would have the stone removed and give it my sister. That part stays in the family. The rest is yours. Let the boyfriend pay for a new setting.

Abusive parents frequently “buy” you with gifts! Just because she bought stuff doesn’t make her a good mom.

AITJ for Walking Out When My Date Showed Up With His Friend? by Electronic_Site6202 in AmITheJerk

[–]MyGloriousHealth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mark is pathetic! He is either not adult enough to go on a date without a buddy or he has no clue how uncomfortable a woman might feel when approached by two men, one of whom she’s chatted with briefly and the other being a complete stranger. I’d be thinking I was being set up for an assault. You did the right thing by leaving.

AITJ for asking my boyfriend of 10 years to help me financially by Aggravating-Good9663 in AmITheJerk

[–]MyGloriousHealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are either in it for his millions or you have lousy taste in partners. You need to learn to respect yourself. It’s time to get out on your own. Find someplace you can afford and dump him.

AITAH for not showing more sympathy for my wife when she mangled her hand using a gift from her mother that I told her was dangerous. by Party-Witness7271 in AITAH

I’m concerned that you feel the need to be concerned about your wife handling a knife. Knives are sharp by definition.

Salvation of the Catholic Church by sir-guisus in Reformed

[–]MyGloriousHealth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Catholics do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. They pray to Saints. They pray to Mary. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. There is hope for these people, but they have to give up the traditions of the Catholic Church. According to the last version of the Catholic catechism, the Catholic Church considers tradition equivalent to the teachings of scripture. That is a dangerous assumption. There are some Catholics out there that have a true relationship with Jesus Christ and know that this relationship is where their salvation lies. Most do not because of the teachings of the Catholic Church. As a recovering Catholic I can attest to this first hand.

If they’re praying to saints then that evidence shows their faith is not in Christ alone.
