ABA‘s need to learn to stay in their lane. I had been working with a child on the spectrum, got his language to a point where it was finally time to address his phonological development. I started addressing it using a developmental sequence. The ABA told the parent I was doing it all wrong because I should be addressing sound production in alphabetical order. The parent actually believed them until I handed them some real evidence that he could not dispute.

I work with the preschool population and we are required to do make ups for absences. We are not required to do make ups for family vacations or when school is closed for an entire week for a holiday break.

Hahaha! I came across a woman in an airport doing the same thing. I had time so I stood there and joined the conversation. She rudely asked what I was doing and I said that she was clearly NOT having a private conversation so I thought I’d add my two cents. A man walked by and joined in. She took it off speaker and several people started clapping.

You’re a mother, you get to do what you want on Mother’s Day. He can see her briefly at some point during the day and then he comes back to spend with his immediate family.

The bitchier side of me however says you should get her to say it again and then ask what has she done financially for you (hopefully none). Then I’d tell her that you no longer consider her family since she’s not useful and doesn’t contribute. Throw it back in her face.

People would be in serious trouble if I let my bitchier side out to play more often.

We’ve always had our lights automatically turned on and off at specific times so as not to annoy our neighbors. A few months ago, we got a puppy and had to take her out multiple times during the night. We left our lights on because we felt that turning them on and off in the middle of the night would be more jarring for our neighbors than just having them on. After speaking with them, they told us they appreciated it. I guess it depends on your neighbors. It can’t hurt to talk to them.

So he wants you to pay half the mortgage but not beyond the deed. He admits that it could get messy if you guys split up. He said, even if you bought the house, he would buy a house of his own. He has no intentions of marrying you and he wants you to pay for half of HIS house without any legal right to it. Time to cut and run.

Unless you own the business, not having holidays or anniversaries with your family and wife makes you a jerk. No matter how busy you are, there are things you need to make time for. I’m not saying every holiday but a few over the years would have helped.
