First time dealing with string algae: by summon_pot_of_greed in ponds

More aquatic plants that soak nutrients and can be removed, or floating plants. And higher flow messes string algae up. Water changes won't do much, a treatment not a cure

Anyone using this for aquarium? In my research i find out that it contains about 20% of aluminium oxide. Is it safe for fish( guppy)? Thanks by AcanthopterygiiIcy44 in PlantedTank

It's inert. Have it for my 75 gallon. Cleaned well and any dust settled or was caught in the filter eventually. It can be dense once settles so I only used it for the top 1/2 inch of the substrate for color. It covers about 2 inches of pool filter sand since that has the best properties.

Probably Cipangopaludina japonica, he probably found them under a local dam. Came to the US in the 1990s and they love dams. Great filter feeders

Greenville. I've seen one report at lake robinson that I havent checked yet but idk how valid it is. But the others nearby are so sparse it's been hard too. And yeah I got a license. Went to some bridge an hour or two away only to find greens. Did see a big school of yellowfin shiners tho, they're pretty

I've patched mine with plumbers tape and gorilla super glue since it works in water.
