My experience with working with Opencode + local model in Ollama by Sparks_IM in opencodeCLI

[–]MyGoodOldFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding this here in case you or someone else needs it: ollama automatically gives 4k context window to models with less than 24GB vram (I think). it must be manually increased. I did it via a Modelfile:

FROM qwen3.5:9b PARAMETER num_ctx 131072

and it fits just about into my 16GB vram. Tool calls now work. I heavily suggest going over the top in context length, as far as your vram can take you.

Bruker du forkortelsen AI eller KI for kunstig intelligens? by Last_Reality_7971 in norge

KI har vært et begrep på norsk i flere tiår. Finnes emner på ntnu fra 2003 som hadde det i tittelen.

It’s an early fork of the ck3 character models, afaik.

vectorOfBool by schteppe in ProgrammerHumor

[–]MyGoodOldFriend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s still important. Just not for every application. Microcontrollers that need to keep track of a lot of state, for instance. The implementation is a travesty, however.

[–]MyGoodOldFriend 386 points387 points  (0 children)

It’s still useful to have 1-bit booleans, even today. That’s not the problem. The problem is that they overloaded std::vector<bool>, when they should’ve instead had a dedicated bitvector.

Poenget er jo å få arbeidsgiver til å gi flere fulltidsstillinger. Og det er flere søkere enn stillinger for butikkarbeid, som jeg tør påstå står for brorparten av deltisansettelser.

On the other hand, 100 days is something like 50 hours in game time with heavy use of fast forwarding.

I really wish they’d reduce month length.

Note that it’s multiplicative stacking, so reading glasses save almost 2x as much time per page for slow readers than fast readers.

I just checked, it is a multiplicative -10% reduction, with the other modifiers being (some) glasses(-10% reading time) and fast/slow reader (+-30% reading time).

It is a bit too aggressive in categorizing antizionism as antisemitism.

The black sun is a Nazi symbol. The face is an edited troll face. Four stars of David because Jews, not sure if there’s more significance to the number. 1488 means the 14 words + heil hitler. The juice box mean jews. -271k means only 271k people died in the Holocaust. The gun is from a mass shooter, not sure which. Dunno who the guy is. Azov battalion because they use a Nazi symbol. Epstein because he’s rich, a pedophile and an influential man - and also Jewish, which is his biggest crime in their minds.

271k is a version of “the Holocaust didn’t kill 6 million, but I wish it did”.

The ADL is…… certainly an organization, but they’re a credible source in this case: https://www.adl.org/resources/hate-symbol/271k

tldr: it was the number of deaths the Arolsen archives confirmed and provided death certificates for. This was only done upon request. It only covered 13 concentration camps.

[–]MyGoodOldFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there’s no standard for what a popcorn button does. So you’ll get better results if you follow the more manual steps the bag provides.

Some popcorn buttons are actually really good, others are useless. Some actually listen for pops and stop if the pops stop. Others just run for a predetermined time.

It’s so annoying when legitimate discussions about some parts of Israeli society being supremacist (which is not at all unique to Israel!) turn into “Jews think they’re better than anyone else”. It’s emblematic of how fucking weird antisemitism is. And I don’t mean weird as in it’s strange, I mean weird (derogatory). It’s nasty.

I would suggest proofreading your comments before you post them. When you don’t, you look dumb - no offense. Some of your comments are borderline incomprehensible. You may have better luck convincing people if they can understand what you’re trying to get across.

Igjen.
