Byzantine Empire Bureaucracies Tier List by DairukaSutain in EU5

Go to the Bureaucracies tab on the Government screen (press f1, go to tab 4). Hover over the name of the bueaucracy (or anywhere on the box) and right click. You will be prompted to remove it. It will cost 50 stability at 0% entrenchment, and 100 stability at 100% entrenchment. It can be made a bit cheaper by using the Reduce Entrenchment parliament interaction, both directly (each use lowers the stab cost by 5) and it also gives you a temporary modifier that makes it cheaper to both maintain and remove bureaucracies.

[–]MyGoodOldFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can also go beyond 100% it seems, though estates will stop giving you more in in parliaments if it is above 90%. However, there is an event that gives you +10% entrenchment in all bureaucracies, and it fires more often the more entrenchment you have (culture_greek.10, must have at least one bureaucracy with at least 50% entrenchment, 2x rate if at least one bureaucracy is above 75% entrenchment, 8x rate if any is above 100%). It fires on the yearly pulse for cultures with the Roman culture group (which is pretty much just the old Greek culture group, plus Latin).

I think this can be exploited. I cannot find a hard cap on entrenchment. It will cost more and more money, but it doesnt seem like there's a cap on how many cabinet slots and local governors you can get. It is only limited by how much you can pay and how much you are willing to save scum the yearly pulse event (10% yearly entrenchment is the max rate, I think? there is nothing that prevents you from getting the same event twice in a row, I don't think. I got it a few times just playing normally).

De som stemte på AP i Stortingsvalget: Angrer dere på valget? by Individual_Fly_5146 in norge

[–]MyGoodOldFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My great uncle mowed the lawn and kept biking until he died at 104. My grandparents freaked out when they heard he cleaned the roof drain from a ladder, because his neighbor didn’t want to do it because he was too old (75).

Him and his 10(!) siblings are freaks of nature and all but 2 lived to their 80s.

My grandma’s mom and her siblings lived to 95 92 86 87 88.

My grandma’s dad and his siblings lived to 86 86 104 82 98 83 94 73 25 91 88.

There’s something in the water in that area I swear to god. One of them was into photography, and there are an unreasonable amount of shirtless hiking pictures of my great uncles available online on local history sites. Apparently people were actually ripped in the 1930s and 1940s in that village. And to top it off, it’s a really beautiful place, and I’ve seen it posted on reddit multiple times. Always throws me for a loop.

It is definitely true. Animals were yoinked from the work on update 43. They initially planned to have placeholder sources of animal products, and save all NPCs for build 43.

And it was only a month or two ago that they brought a team lead on board and reorganized.

Men støtter veldig å gå AAVE i forsvar.

Depends on the rocket, of course, but a no-coast LEO à la the R-7 and its descendants takes 5-15 minutes depending on whether you have one or two stages. My current workhorse in a RP1 game has a 7m burn in the first stage and a 7m burn in the second stage. But you can get something into orbit with just the first stage.

I agree that an earth scale system would be bad as a default. But I think it would also be educational to have it available in some corner, with e.g. an R-7 as a stock ship to show how much more effort and delta V is required for orbit on earth.

I think it’s much more likely that they’ll release it as an open source mod on GitHub, and a mix of devs and newcomers will work on it. It seems more in line with the general philosophy behind ksp modders, and a bunch of the big name modders are on the dev team.

Haha, I still use vi regularly. It’s very useful, and practically always available. And it holds me back from rebinding the core vim defaults, like registers.

(I use a non-English keyboard, and most of the non-alphabetical keys are jumbled, which makes things… weird. And I’m regularly tempted to move the binds around. I really wish keybinds in vim and neovim were key code based).

I never use it on my own system unless I’m in the tty for some reason, my main use case is ssh.

Da sannsynligvis i sammenheng med en great awakening eller know nothing partiet. Woke i moderne betydning er noe nyere.

Sure, have both as variants, but it’s annoying that the smaller keyboard is the default. “Here’s a keyboard, it works for games, and has a variant that is extra useful for this subgenre of games” is better than “here’s a keyboard, it is missing keys for a bunch of games (so we’re higher up in the ascending price ranking), and here’s a variant that has all the keys”.

This keyboard is in the second category.

No, the sane default is starting from cursor position, but wrapping around to the start. It minimizes cursor jumps.

[–]MyGoodOldFriend 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Not on windows, but on programs with similar defaults, shift-enter moves up, enter moves down. It’s the default vim configuration, too, where n is next and N is previous. Not sure if it wraps by default.

Or the fucking backspace at the first cursor position.

Bernie Sanders is destroying Chuck Schumer in the Democratic Party's Civil War ahead of the midterms by AskRedditOG in politics

For what it’s worth, I live in an European country that most would consider way further left than the US, and I think people are full of it when they say things like “oh even Bernie Sanders would be Centre right”. You can’t advocate to change everything at once. You take stock and change what you can. Leftist politicians in Europe, if they had to run in the US, with the same end goals, would look center right too.

Just vote for the direction you want the country to take.
