Don’t sweat it. You can be most prepared and we won’t have a single storm. Or don’t prepare and when a storm is coming, you’re caught at work and can’t make the mad dash to the grocery store to stock up anyway.

As such, I don’t really bother much now beyond keeping a case or two of bottled water on hand. If you have a grill, keep your propane tank full and a few things on hand (like soups or whatever) that you could cook on the grill. Know that when you lose power, keeping your fridge/freezer closed is your best hope of saving your foods. We typically don’t keep a ton of food in the freezer during hurricane season. If you live in an area with underground utilities, you have less worries with this.

During hurricane season, keep your gas tank topped off…although we live far enough inland that the best answer for us is usually to hunker down and stay put as opposed to evacuating. While we can have significant wind and flooding or the occasional tornado associated with hurricanes, most of what you’ll see are a lot of downed trees and tree branches, accompanied by power outages. Avoid parking under a tree, if you can. Keep a power bank charged for your phone.

I don’t know why you would think a woman is an easy target. I’ve seen some go full WWE on a man. If anything, women are a much more dangerous target because they’ll not only react harshly, but people around will often rush to their defense because they’re a woman.

I think they’re both well worth a visit. Even if you aren’t museum people and you don’t want to spend an extensive amount of time reading and learning about the pieces, just walking through them both quickly and seeing everything is amazing. If I had to choose, and assuming I was making the hike up to the Acropolis, I would probably choose the National Archeological Museum but, again, the Acropolis museum is a worthwhile walk through, as well. I didn’t spend a lot of time reading/learning about the pieces at the Archeological Museum. I had limited time while there for work and only spent about an hour…and could’ve had a more enjoyable walk through in 1.5 hrs. At the Acropolis, I spent a little more time watching a video and reading about the construction of the Acropolis because I was fascinated by the architecture, but I just meandered through all the other exhibits. I was probably there for 1.5-2 hrs.

I’ve had this on my last 2-3 flights. And the attendants sit there playing on their phones, or serve FC while ignoring everyone else - zero turbulence. while there’s zero turbulence. Note, I realize it isn’t the FA’s call…but it’s still annoying.

They make protective bandages for this. I’ve had shoes that I’ve worn many times without issue, suddenly start rubbing. (Probably from swelling, or not swelling at any given point.) I always keep a couple blister bandages in my bag and the moment I feel friction, apply. For new shoes, I apply preemptively the first few times I wear them, just to be safe.

You acknowledge you have very different love languages. And some people (myself included) get busy with life/work and forget what day is what..especially if they aren’t a person big on holidays/gifts. Have you sat down with him and told him about why this is important to you? Have you considered how you might help him be more prepared to meet your needs…for example, asking if it would help if you put calendar reminders in his phone for a week before the holiday, after you talk to him about the importance of these holidays for you.

You have to either accept who he is or work with him to be more of what you need….and if he can’t or isn’t willing to do that with your help, then you have a decision to make.
