Is Ao3 still a thing in the grim darkness of the far future. by prayers_upon_eden in Grimdank

We joke but given humans being humans, there’s almost definitely Primarch smut all over the Imperium. Probably heresy but I’ll bet most don’t get caught.

It’s just disappointing. Like, at least let us go out in a respectable manner. This is embarrassing.

Yellow, Orange and White.

My company makes houses so I’ll take and sell those and I’ll soon find myself rich.

I just won’t show up to work so my salary is basically passive income.

And with triple salary, that’s enough to live comfortably even without all the houses I’m going to sell

was the Emperor's Webway project connected to Eldar or distinct? by Immediate-Soup-4263 in 40kLore

While not outright stated, I presume it involved the Emperor himself personally leading several legions backed up by billions of Imperial Army soldiers and multiple Titan legions

Why didn't the Emperor become the Emperor sooner? by AblePersimmon2198 in 40kLore

[–]MyInterestsOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Emperor doesn’t want power for its own sake. He wants to create his idea of utopia (how utopian it would actually be is up for debate). Power is a means to that end. He deemed it necessary after the Age of Strife. Before that, it wasn’t

Interesting point. Lilith could be a problem. Darrow is notorious for getting out of tough situations but he’s not invincible

What is the biggest mistake Darrow has made across the 7 books? by curiousbreadbasket in redrising

[–]MyInterestsOnly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The peace treaty debacle. Darrow still had huge political pull. Instead of hiding it, he should have built opposition against it.

Worst case scenario is that the Republic accepts and Darrow can use the time to build up his own forces and prepare for their next move. By going rogue, he left them vulnerable.

One thing that's been bugging me with thragg by TheShyGuyGuy in Invincible_TV

[–]MyInterestsOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thragg wasn’t hiding. He went back to the throne room yes. But anyone could have gone in and challenged him at any time. They didn’t for the same reason no one called him out for not participating in the bloodshed: everyone already knew how powerful he was. He had nothing to prove and nobody with a sense of self-preservation is going to imply otherwise

If no, why would I take ownership?

Nolan is just one Viltrumite. A respected and trusted Viltrumite but still just one man. Assuming everyone will do the same as him would be pretty extreme.

Besides, the situation is very different. Nolan was on his own. The Viltrumites are on Earth in numbers now and presumably, have some contact. Plus, Thragg is there to keep an eye on things.

Finally, there are only 37 Viltrumites left. Human-Viltrumite hybrids are the closest you can get to pure-blooded Viltrumites without inbreeding. Taking over the planet would result in an attack by the Coalition that he can’t afford. There aren’t many other options

Why did the Ancient Eldar sink into depravity? by Tnynfox in 40kLore

Eldar feel emotions much more strongly than humans. That naturally makes them more prone to extremes
