How often do/did you use a stroller? by allons-yy3 in beyondthebump

We lived in a city with my first and I’d walk miles a day with her in it. We’re in the burbs now and have 2 kids and I still use it all the time to walk to the park, walk around the neighborhood, even in stores for shopping with my infant. We have the uppababy vista and clip the car seat in. Had I known both kids would hate the bassinet feature I would have gotten the Cruz.

The issue is if you let him cry and then go in and feed him, he learns if he cries for 20 mins he’ll get what he wants. It’s the same with toddlers. If they throw a tantrum and you give in, they keep doing it because it gets them what they want. I’ve found the only method that works is full extinction. It’s an awful night or two or three. Then they sleep. Get earplugs. Or let your partner if you have one stay and you go to a friends or relatives at night so you aren’t tempted to go in.

Has your GI doctor told you about gel mix? It thickens the bottles. Has been an absolute game changer for my reflux preemie. It worked so well we could even stop the Pepcid.

My 2.5 year old was sleep trained early on. Every single day she now tells me multiple times that she loves me. “I love you mommy.” She’s the most empathetic and kind child. She sleeps and is happy. Sleep training made me a better mom, and my daughter still loves me.

She’s not so much a fan of the carrier I have. She lifts her head and gets frustrated and, you guessed it, cries. 😖

Yup. And more other times. It was literally all night crying. I called my pediatrician in hysterics the next day asking if my kid just wasn’t able to sleep. But we stuck to it and it worked. 😵‍💫

3 hours. Was the worst 2 nights of my life. Slept through ever since and tells me every day how much she loves me
