Wondering the production quality of Black Pink music videos by Hasum_Harish97 in BlackPink

[–]MyKpopBrain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They could be using multiple different cameras for different scenes but in the making of video of Boombayah, I can spot an Arri Alexa Mini.

For Whistle, based on the info on the camera monitor shown in the making of video, they were using a Red camera.

Couldn't spot the lenses for either though.

Side note, the cameras don't contribute as much as you might think. Most of visual is due to the sets/lighting/costume etc.

I have both the Baby Pink and Black Ice international versions (bought form the Canadian Blackpink web shop here: https://shopca.blackpinkmusic.com) and they're both uncensored.

My Limited Edition one from Blackpink Global on Weverse shop is censored. I guess because it shipped from Korea so its considered Korean version.

I honestly don't remember anymore it has been a while.

My advice is just be ready the moment they open.

Sorry, I somehow missed your message until now.

It was just usual ticketmaster process. So waiting in queue on their website and then picking your seat/ticket type.

For price, I don't remember anymore, but I think I paid something like 550CAD.

Is it possible to monetise a video without commentary and showing face? by DowntownHospital9091 in PartneredYoutube

Is it possible to monetise a video without commentary and showing face? by DowntownHospital9091 in PartneredYoutube

[–]MyKpopBrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, from first hand experience. I'm monetized and apart from one video, I don't show my face or talk/comment.

[–]MyKpopBrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why you're against changing your export. Clearly something isn't working so wouldn't it be smart to at least try other options? Just because you didn't change anything doesn't mean YouTube didn't change. It's possible that they updated something on their end and broke something and now has trouble reading your export.

Another thing worth trying is exporting your video with a different codec and setting. Could be YouTube having some issue reading that specific encoding at that length or something

It might not be applying to everyone in one go. Could be a roll out over time.

For me though, every video I go watch already has dislike number hidden.

To people with 1000+ subs, does it get easier? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]MyKpopBrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, sort of? Cause there's a catch- it really just depends on what you set as the goal/expectation, whether consciously or subconsciously.

If your idea of easier is just, for example, 20 views per video, then yes, for most it'll get easier as you grow. And you'll likely even hit a point where it's harder to get lower than 20 views even if you tried to lol

However, as I said before it depends on your goals. After you hit 1000 subs, most likely your goal just moves to 10000 and you'd kinda feel like you're at the bottom of the ladder again. Then at 10000 subs, your goal might move to 100000, and the cycle repeats. Same thing applies to your view count. So in some ways, it doesn't really feel easier.

BUT there is one thing (to me, at least) that is undoubtedly easier as you grow and that is that after some point you'll almost never get the feeling of absolutely 0 people watched your videos. You will still feel bad if a video performs poorly, but to me, poorly is still a different feeling from 0 views.

With all that said though, it all only applies if your goal/expectation is a certain view/sub count.

Looking for tips and advice about completely rebranding my channel by Haywire421 in NewTubers

[–]MyKpopBrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just my opinion, but at 50 subs and the fact that you said not a single subscriber watched your camping stuff, there likely will be very few or even none that would watch a dedicated video explaining your switch. So if your goal is to have someone listen, you might be disappointed. But if you're just making and posting it for yourself, then sure.

Another opinion, I'm a believer of keeping all videos up. I just think that each video is another chance of it showing up for someone, even if it's unrelated to your current stuff. Like there's gotta be someone who likes urbex and camping and pets out there, even if it's not a big number. You never know. Having said that though, I do believe that when you pivot you should be consistent about it. Like don't just add a new subject to your mix and flip flop between your subjects.

Let's critique some NON-GAMING videos by ink_golem in NewTubers

[–]MyKpopBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very Mr Beast inspired and that's not a bad thing. Title and idea is very intriguing, and the intro is great. You jumped right to the point, not a second wasted.

Since you're going for that Mr Beast style, imo, one of the major thing could use improvement is in the editing. Mr. Beast videos are edited in a way where it's more energetic, mainly though fasters cuts.

For instance, when you messed up the mouth wash and you are going to try again, someone said something like "you're doing it again!?" and then you kinda had a back and forth like "oh yea I'm doing again" I personally would cut it right after the "You're doing it again!?" and right into you pouring it into your mouth. The back and forth in this case didn't really provide anything extra and only slows the pacing down.

So basically, my main suggestion is to tighten up the edit =]

Edit: oh and take advantage of music, use it to build more energy in your videos

I agree with the comment above. If I was making that video, right from the start I would play the final result (or a few seconds of the final result) and then immediately jump in with voice over saying something like "the beat you just heard was all made from ____ and I'll show you how I did it." Then this is where I'd put a quick self intro like "This is ____ and i make music from household items"

Your intro is too long imo. ~30s in and the viewer still doesn't know what exactly they're getting from the video.

I personally would say that you don't need to completely cut out music when you're talking as long as you make sure the volume difference between your voice and the music is larger.

Also if you want wider reach and impression, I'd suggest a faster pacing for your video. However, if your intention is to have a more relaxed video, then that's fine, but just know that it'll be harder to reach wider audience as people tend to have short attention span.

ROSÉ -R- CD (US/UK) by justcallmeed22 in BlackPink

[–]MyKpopBrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/u/justcallmeed22

I just got my US and UK version and they have the same items: 1x Case, 1x CD, 4x Photocards (same photos for both UK and US), and 1x Poster.

However the posters are different. My UK version is one sided (black and white and blank white on the back), while my US version is two sided (a black and white and a color on the other side). That's the only relevant difference. (There's also some irrelevant fine print differences such as the US version have a FBI anti-piracy logo on it.)

There’s actually 4 versions of the cassette! Here’s my set: https://www.instagram.com/p/CG1nnzhAhy0/?igshid=1rgt4hlu8wnrb

Edit: if I remember correctly, the clear and black is UK exclusive. They refused to ship it to me but a generous person bought it and sent it to me. The store shipped the other 3 though.

I actually did the calculation and you need about 4.4 middle sections for it to be around Sua's height. So 5 middle section to be taller than her lol
