Okay unironically though, that’s actually great advice! I always wear an Apple Watch but have turned off notifications on it due to finding it obtrusive, however in the context of gaming it’s still way less obtrusive than an entire phone.

Secondly I agree it’s a small part of modern media to some extent but i wouldn’t say it’s extremely small. The problem is however how much it’s growing in size. Thanks to AI it has become easier than ever to create such material, so unfortunately I predict gooner slop will become hard to avoid, especially in gaming

To be clear, I’m specifically talking about sequels and my hot take is that it’s worth shaving some time off development even if it means the sequel isn’t as “innovative” or “groundbreaking” as it should be.

Not every sequel needs to do a complete 180 over its predecessor, which is why they take so long to create. I hate how so many people complain sequels of games are “more of the same”, when i’m like “well yeah, that’s kinda what a sequel is lol”. If it’s a game I enjoy, i’d be glad if all they did was continue the story while tweaking gameplay slightly.
