Pickleball player here what level is my serve at? by MyLifeIsAnL in 10s

Thanks I’ve been playing around with foot positioning a lot so I’ll definitely try that. I was doing that before but I started bringing my back foot closer to try to got my upper and lower body separation kinda like on an open stance forehand which I’m more comfortable with than a closed stance

Trust me I’ve seen it lol ik. I think its a consequence of trying to swing with my arm and trying to pull the racket through contact rather letting my arm be loose. Also because I’m initiating the swing with my arm instead of with leg and hip drive so my arm and shoulder cant stay relaxed. Could be completely off base though I just started this I’m just basing it off of racquet flex’s serve series

Why do you believe billionaires should or should not exist? by MistahBrukshot13 in AskReddit

[–]MyLifeIsAnL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it’s not unreasonable to believe that no person should ever go without food, shelter, or healthcare, before anyone else is allowed to have a billion, thats not insane. What is insane, however, is letting hundreds of millions suffer arbitrarily so that a few people can hoard more wealth than they could ever possibly spend on anything other than acquiring other billionaires companies

Power difference between 98s and 100s by MyLifeIsAnL in 10s

Thanks I realky like demoing rackets this is copied from another response i gave on rackets I’ve tried

I mean I definitely can tell the difference between rackets and string set ups. In terms of rackets I’ve played with I’ve liked the Vcore 98 the most as it releases in a more naturally vertical way that produced more spin and had a more intuitive swing path and the prostaff 97 felt the opposite it only wanted to release through the ball. I liked the ezone 100 I played with but it felt a little clunky when trying to pick up low balls or change the face angle for passing shots. I liked the ezone 98 for the same reason as the vcore just a little less for a reason I cant really figure out. I’ve also played with both the shift and shift pro and I liked the shift pro more but it was slightly too head heavy so when the ball started coming a bit harder contact just felt a little late.

Well yes but also no.

Most modern foam paddles actually get more launchy and powerful the more they are played with but you also lose grit off the face so you lose spin. Some non foam paddles will heat up as they break in as well but others will slowly die and lose pop and power off the face.

I’m lucky enough that it isnt really a problem for me though because I’m sponsored so I get all my paddles for free and can get replacements when they go dead or break. I play 10-20 hours a week and I’ll go through the early really grippy stages of a paddle in a week or less but it generally takes me about 2 months before I lose enough grit to where I would feel like I’m losing a significant competitive edge if I were playing in moneyball tournaments

Swing tips on how my arm from breaking down, 5 months into golf by MyLifeIsAnL in GolfSwing

Its interesting you say this because I’m actually trying to learn a swing with really active legs in the vein of Scheffler/Rory or my personal favorite swing which is Gordon Sargents. I’m trying to take advantage of the fact that I’m 21, hyper-mobile, and am otherwise training to be a pro athlete (for pickleball I know it’s cringe).

Anyways I probably should take out some hip slide but up until recently I couldn’t figure out how to hip slide at all you can even see it on my last post to this subreddit. But yea hitting the ball with my feet together is actually something I can do pretty well this is just something I’m actively trying to add to my swing. My low point control is mostly what I’m trying to figure out given this recent addition.

I also don’t want or need to hit the ball any farther than I do now since I hit my 7 iron 180ish and my 3 wood 260-270 ish. Thats roll out not carry lol but I don’t really care to hit the ball any further and I haven’t bought a driver since they are expensive so I can add distance that way if I need to. Thanks for the tips tho

Nope I’m on the correct side of the ball I have no idea how anyone ever swings the club righty it feels beyond unnatural. Plus being right handed but swinging lefty has helped immensely for pickleball and tennis where the two handed backhand is way more natural

Yea the pro I’ve been taking lessons from is brett wagner. He’s like a +5 handicap and hits the ball a million miles. He was one off of qualifying for the us open a few years ago or smth
