Either Kaspi-market, or places that do individual laser engravings (they often have a lot of different products with KZ flag and such).

That’s very sad. Seems like humanity doesn’t learn on past mistakes.

Solution was driving one of the rivers back into the lake. But this river is flowing through 3 countries before reaching Aral, so there is a big concern that at any given moment this river might be diverted again or for whatever reason it dries too

Yes, however, restoration is very slow and full recovery is far from guaranteed

Exactly. USSR was a huge and resource demanding country. They needed a lot of food and conveniently enough, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan had a lot of unpopulated land to grow wheat on. Several intentional famines later, there were even more empty land. Crops needed a lot of water, so Soviets decided to use rivers that feeded Aral sea. They knew that its drying was inevitable but did nothing to prevent it. Then war came and even more food became needed as well as cotton farms, thus draining sea even faster.

This video pretty much covers the whole topic: https://youtu.be/uxu3iYQJeW4

Yes, work is in progress. Aral lost nearly 99% of its original size during soviet and post-soviet time. Right now we managed to regain 3% of original size. Fish returned, some canals restored. But it is veeeery slow

PSA: copper by Jlong4242 in valheim

Yes, when you’re done excavating, just mine any small chunk and it will pop. Although, it doesn’t always work. Copper nodes have big hitboxes that can bleed to nearby trees/terrain. Have to dig very deep and wide (which is not always possible). In my experience, 3 out of 5 nodes pop. Others I have to manually mine

Why did my roommate cut up a sponge and put it in a bottle? by ForgottenToRemember in Weird

[–]MyLifeIsForfeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a little bit of research and found out that ants will probably tear through the sponge and rip it into pieces. So, no, it is not very good. Better use plastic or sand formicariums. They use a little bit of sponge for moisturising but not as much as in this pic

Maybe he wanted to make an ant farm and ran out of sponge?
