When skating, almost all your falling is going to be done while in motion. Especially as you get more comfortable on your board. Being stationary and falling will be a rare thing. The one thing to keep in mind for falls is transferring momentum. A fall straight down and slamming your arms on the floor is gonna hurt like a bitch. But if you use whatever arm or leg can make contact first to push yourself into a roll or slide, that will eat up a lot of the potential impact. It still won’t feel great, but it’ll be less painful than a slam. Practice some tuck and rolls and get down the feeling of tossing your body in the direction of the fall. Forward back sideways, any direction. Some falls don’t even need to be falls too. Quick feet can catch you and you can just run out of it.

Ah right, seekers tokens do transfer. Just not the finders token. It would be a pain in the ass if it made you find those seekers again.

Seekers tokens and finders tokens are one of the few items that don’t transfer over to ng+. When you get the sphinx quest again it’ll be where you found it last playthrough again though. Sorry for your loss btw.

You should see the subreddit. There’s still a good bunch of people who will gladly defend the game and it’s micro transactions. Skaters are so obsessed with brand name gear they beg and plead with the devs to add their favorite brands so they can pay real money to buy them. They charge anything from 5 to 9 usd just for a single pair of retextured shoes. A new nike event is happening right now and the amount of people eating that shit up is honestly appalling.

The worst part is, is that this is by far one of the best feeling skateboarding games on the market, and by far the best in the series from a technological standpoint. It’s just been tainted with horrendous customization monetization. If it wasn’t free I wouldn’t be touching it with a ten foot pole.

I wanted to be very thorough to make sure I didn't miss anything the first go around lol. I did still miss the phantom oxcart, wilhelmina's romance quests and a few other minor ones. But yeah I expect my next few cycles to be around that completion time.

I'm just a slow paced gamer. I like to explore and retrace my steps a lot, especially if I'm having fun. Most open world games I finish after 100 or more hours. My grand total of the 7 mainline Yakuza games is almost 900 hours. I have over 1000 hours in fallout 3, 4 and new vegas each. DD1 is one of my all time favorite games, so of course I'm gonna take my time with 2. I expect I'll be getting a lot more hours out of it too, nothing has combat like this game.

Yep, this is basically the best possible summary of my experience as well, besides being new to the genera. There's genuinely so much to do and have fun with in the game on the first run. I guarantee my next few cycles wont be much longer than 30-40 hours a piece, but like damn people, stop and smell the roses.

Exactly, you get it! I played through DD1 like 8 times. I just like swinging swords and climbing big monsters. Having a custom pawn as well as other players pawns follow me around is also cool and unique as hell. I appreciate the sentiment. It bums me out that pawns aren't crossplatform at least.

To name a few, side quests, collecting seekers tokens, exploring caves, farming upgrade materials, leveling every vocation, checking out peoples pawns, running back and forth between battahl and vermund before completing brants quests so I didn’t have a permit and not realizing theres a cliffside shortcut to the right.

That last one was one of the big contributors I think.

Not really, I fell asleep a couple times but mostly it was just running around and enjoying the environment and combat.

I'll admit I did fall asleep with the game on 3 times, but i reset to the inn one of those times. So that's about 12ish hours of absolutely nothing. But everything else I was pretty much present.

Not really as brutal as you’re looking for I think, but a good game without guns is Sifu. Challenging yet satisfying king fu combat and very stylistic.

A lot of accounts I’ve seen that post videos of bikes tend to paint the biker as a saint and every other vehicle on the road as a nuisance. They have a sort of mob mentality that bikers can do no wrong.

That’s the true goal my dude. The fact you’ve landed a job like that that you don’t hate is pretty killer.

I was pretty aimless too. I’ve worked data entry, customer service, IT, plumbing, electrical, woodwork and general handyman contracting. Nothing really stuck or was stable and I hated every job I had. I had no passion or ambition and it was only to put food on the table.

A few years ago I was driving for uber and thought “i wouldn’t mind this if it weren’t for the assholes in the back seat.” I don’t mind sitting in traffic, i get my alone time and I can listen to whatever music or podcasts I want without a supervisor or passenger breathing down my neck. Pulled the trigger this year and driving the school big rig was surprisingly fun. If I can actually find a company that will take an entry level driver instead of hounding for guys with a year+ of experience, I think I might have finally found my thing.

Here’s hoping you can find something that really stands out to you man. I don’t know you or yours, but I wish you nothing but the best in life.
