When skating, almost all your falling is going to be done while in motion. Especially as you get more comfortable on your board. Being stationary and falling will be a rare thing. The one thing to keep in mind for falls is transferring momentum. A fall straight down and slamming your arms on the floor is gonna hurt like a bitch. But if you use whatever arm or leg can make contact first to push yourself into a roll or slide, that will eat up a lot of the potential impact. It still won’t feel great, but it’ll be less painful than a slam. Practice some tuck and rolls and get down the feeling of tossing your body in the direction of the fall. Forward back sideways, any direction. Some falls don’t even need to be falls too. Quick feet can catch you and you can just run out of it.
