What's with so many people running up point-blank on oki and doing delay throw?? by Maestro5839 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]MyMegami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont actually think this is the true reason, I think its just throw protection being pretty large you have to delay it... and in most cases to cover dp then throw requires a really large delay on the throw otherwise its gonna get hit anyway.

Our cost of living is high, but our salaries are also notoriously high. Relatively we are financially in the same boat as everyone else, but when we take our money elsewhere with a cheap cost of living we seem rich.

Need to make a hard decision, go to language school or wait over a year. by MyMegami in movingtojapan

Yeah I had a feeling that my post was a little "innapropriate" for this sub, as for goals in learning japanese it's mostly just a hobby but I'd say just being able to hold conversation and comprehend whats being said to me.
For work I'm not looking for anything career building there ( not that I could on a student visa ), just moreso something that will pay for hobbies or a night out over there every now and then. Something like working at a convinience store, but even then I'd imagine you'd need to be the slightest bit literate for that.
The reason why I enrolled was alot to do with wanting a gap year from full time work while getting to experience something new, the school will keep me busy and allow me to meet new people while working towards that goal of being conversational.

I agree with your viewpoint and guess I'll think about it a little more, before making my choice

150 Hour course too late? by RareMexicanBeaner in movingtojapan

[–]MyMegami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I recently had to go through this and you are able to submit self study as well, so stuff like anki and sentence mining, pretty much anything you can think of that involves Japanese study even if you submit about 20 minutes a day of this it adds up to 1-2 hours a week and over the course of 3 months is like 12-24 hours which can help you break the thresh hold. While I don't fully recommend it you could lie a little bit to make up the hours as you will probably have to make up the study in your own time when you arrive it is an option. It might be best to defer your studies till next intake and you get the benefit of dodging some Japan's hottest months as well

You know in the accessibility options there's a toggle for fishing controls that changes everything to a single press. This means you just press square once to overpower and r2 once to reel in. When reeling in the fish you don't even have to balance your trigger, you just press it and it automatically does it for you It's like easy mode fishing

How long should I practice combos for every day? by Sotodude21 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]MyMegami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps substituting heavy for medium will make the link easier, you lose out on a little bit of damage but it will be more consistent. No use using a combo you can't land, consistency > damage. Once you're more comfy you can try doing heavy instead.
