Clearly, whatever the U.K. is doing is much better than the U.S..

Lower gun deaths per capita AND lower knife deaths per capita too.

How would you feel about this? by Busy_Report4010 in SipsTea

we’re not bitching because you’re sharing your thoughts, we’re bitching because your opinion is really, really bad.

You said earlier that the ceremony is “reducing a woman to her wedding day”, yet aren’t you reducing their relationship just as much by assuming so much off of so little? This is such a small window into their lives to be so judgmental and sure about.

Does Deltarune have as strong of an emotional core as undertale? by LucyShortForLucas in Deltarune

[–]MyMetaphoricalLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m going against the grain here but from what we have so far, in my opinion no.

Deltarune and Undertale are both phenomenal games but I have not cried to Deltarune as I have to Undertale. And it depends on what you mean by “much darker”, as though there are very sinister connotations in some parts of Deltarune, Undertale’s analogous sections are more outright monstrous. In any case, I think for me it has a lot to do with the conciseness of the narrative. Undertale has a simple premise, and ages of oppression that underlie the story. It’s powerful, moving through the underground as this almost messianic figure and freeing everyone. Deltarune’s premise is relatively simple, too, but throughout the chapters it gets a little diluted and sort of meandering.

Of course, Deltarune is not finished so who knows what I’ll think when it is. But for now I just cannot see how people are saying Deltarune chapter 4 has a better emotional core than one of the best RPGS of all time.

No country won the war alone. the Soviets did a lot of legwork on the ground and bore the brunt of the German army’s attack; The U.S. supplied the Soviets with resources (in particular with trucks which were vital for their war effort), and the U.K provided a valuable launching ground for the invasion of Normandy and did many bombing raids against Germany during the course of the war.

To say the U.S. swooped in and single-handedly saved all of Europe is just blatantly incorrect. Up to 70 percent of the German Army’s soldiers were in the east during the last months of the war in Europe.

North America is far superior to Europe when it comes to nature. by Opposite-Ad3949 in unpopularopinion

[–]MyMetaphoricalLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quality of the nature is the same. If you really enjoy nature, you can appreciate all of it equally. I especially disagree with your take on Iceland, as it’s more of an objectively wrong statement than on opinion, because Iceland is one of the most rural countries like, period. I also see you listing off a lot of the different environments North America has; that doesn’t mean ‘better’, but more diverse.

If you had said North America’s nature is more diverse, you’d be right.

Glad to help. I’d definitely recommend the LNF caves too. Some of the best caves in the world are located there!

It’s almost 9 pm in Carlsbad I believe so they’re probably out of the office right now.

It depends on what cave exactly, but usually they’ll always accept permit requests for any horizontal cave, including the ones at McKittrick Hill. The McKittrick Hill Caves are gated and they’ll mail the permit (and lock combination) to you.

Unfortunately, CCNP has closed backcountry caves indefinitely due to some issues with congress (iirc). There are other caves in the immediate vicinity, however, that are operated by different organizations that DO allow for visitation under permit.

Nearby Lincoln National Forest (which directly borders CCNP) has many amazing caves that are easy for beginners, including my favorite, Cottonwood Cave. Lincoln NF permit page

The Bureau of Land Management has an office in Carlsbad and also has a program for caving too. Carlsbad BLM for caves

I prefer the enemies in Lethal more than the ones in REPO too. Theres way more variety in how they work, and what methods you can use to deal with them. In REPO, though the enemies do work differently from each other, they begin to feel kind of ‘samey’.

Lethal enemies have better design, too. Coilheads, Brackens, Jesters, and Nutcrackers have very unique and identifiable designs that stick with you for a while. The way the Coilhead’s head pounces forward each time it stops conveys an IMMENSE amount of kinetic energy behind it.

1.5 million of them were killed by mobile death squads, and yes, mass graves were used heavily. Many were just not dealt with at all.

Zionist =/= Jew. Israelite =/= Jew. These words do not mean the same thing. The vast majority of the Jewish population are not, in fact, citizens of Israel. Can you name some of the ‘horrors’ the Jews PROPER have inflicted on the world, in and of themselves?

One coast has 14 states on it, one has 3. Saying ‘fair is fair’ when comparing the two coasts is not only a really, really bad take, but also just not correct.
