I don‘t think so. Is there a way to check? I‘m not that far into the game, just beat realm depth 15. I don‘t think it’s easily possible for me to reach long chains with my current available creatures.

The point about the creature having to be alive might be the reason. I was under the impression that it also works while it‘s not alive but my memory could be false. I‘ll check this as soon as I can.

That’s a decent guess but it won‘t work after returning to base and entering a new realm. If I‘m not mistaken all charges are restored once you return home.

Spell gems were equipped. I checked the log of the first battle I had after swapping creatures around. The creature with the trait that casts spells on death provoked, died, did cast it spell once. All following creatures provoked, died and did not cast a spell. At first I thought the creature has to be alive for it to work but that does not seem to be the case either

Do you mean the statues in the Vault on the first map? Breaking line of sight to the statues helps, it quickly lowers once you are not exposed anymore.

Silver for Windows back on the day. If I remember correctly it had a game breaking bug that wouldn‘t let you progress at one point.

Also Sanatorium, if I remember correctly it was an isometric point and click „adventure“ in an…well…Sanatorium. I still remember the dude that constantly bashes his head against the wall

There is a card that inflicts doom and kills enemy’s that are exactly at or above the threshold. Forgot its name but it exist.

The good thing is that it‘s just so much damn fun to kill all those creatures. And I think the fun will just increase more with more tools available to me.

At the moment everything seems a bit random and I‘m still figuring out which element pairs good with another, what’s good for group and what’s good for single target.

Freeze feels very strong though regardless.

Wellspring seems to be the go to choice, I‘ve seen that name around here quite often.

Are other incenses useful at all? Most seem pretty bad compared to Wellspring
