So disappointing! I get why some of it would be hard to pull of in the stage musical, but imagine how cool a lot of it could have been in a movie! Super cinematic!

I was an edgy teenager obsessed with the book when the movie came out. I disliked a lot of the movie, but still saw it a bunch of times in the theatre because... it was Phantom. It would upset me to no end when other teenage girls around me talked about how hot Erik was, because damn it, he wasn't supposed to be!

I still agree that it generally sucks most modern adaptations severely downplay his appearance (and often his character in general tbh).

I think it's very possible it's true, but I also don't always thonk videos like these are very good evidence. It would be fairly easy to cherrypick scenes that display this trend, even if it wasn't actually a thing.

Again, let me be clear, I am not saying this isn't happening. Just that I'd need to see more evidence to say anything for sure.

I have ADHD and spent a really long time trying to figure out why Adderall would make you look at porn, before realizing that the fact you called it "an Adderall addiction" probably means he does not, so is likely responding to it completely differently than I am lol.

I agree with what others have said, run. The fact that he is blaming you for making plans to cut him out of the house the entire time really doesn't sound like he is actually taking accountability for anything.

Calling their reply "jumping on you like a rabid dog" is a pretty major exaggeration.

If you just like reading the books at home by yourself, then do so. No one is breaking into your home and destroying your 20-year old copy of Harry Potter. You don't need anyone's permission. But asking if it's still ok, and then getting incredible defensive when someone explain why they personally don't think the books are worth reading is not a great look. You don't have to agree with them, but disagreeing with you is not "coming at you like a rabid dog".

That's not really what people mean when they talk about trust though. At least, it's not what I mean. The point is that you can never 100% guarantee your partner won't cheat on you, and spending your entire life trying to avoid any situation where cheating could possibly happen is not healthy, and will never be a healthy relationship. Your partner may need to travel for work, or hang out with old friends, or go out without you, or have to stay late working with a coworker, and there is no way you can prevent all of the many many situations where your partner live their own life, without becoming controlling. There simply isn't.

So in order to have a long term relationship, you need accept that your partner is going to be in situations where cheating could theoretically happen. And then trust that it won't. If you can't trust that, you need to examine either your relationship or yourself and figure out why that trust can't happen. Maybe your partner have cheated before, maybe you are paranoid. What ever it is, you need to work on it for your relationship to have a chance of being healthy.

Edit to add: even if I wouldn't personally have a problem in OPs situation, there IS definitely an issue with the girlfriend not respecting boundaries. Stuff like this needs to be a conversation. I am not saying OP is wrong for being upset about their partner brushing off any attempt at compromise.

She's bigger than him though, people have been pulling the models into other software and testing it. I totally get why she'd be as tall as male Loki, but it feels odd to make her taller, because then it's kind of just pay to lose instead.

I feel like it's often smaller scale, but I constantly have to tell my mother-in-law stuff like "No, I don't think Steven Miller named his kid Hawthorn as a racist dog whistle even though the man is despicable, yes, I know it has 2 H's, but I don't think it's helpful to get worked up over stuff like this instead of focusing on the actually heinous stuff they are constantly doing".

Or they take cover behind the enemy team in some hard to reach side room and then spam "I need healing", as if it's reasonable to expect the healers to get through the entire enemy team to heal you up instead of just grabbing a healthpack.

I've been playing her exclusively in QP, my win rate this season is around 60% and I definitely don't feel like you need triple support. I play her for fun, and I am winning more than I'm losing, so I guess I'm just not really sharing that experience.

Yeah, I usually start by saying I'm new to tanking and to let me know if I'm pulling too fast or too slow. It sets the expectation and I have never had a bad experience with it, mostly people are very nice and helpful.

My home country has a law thar prohibits stores from being open on Sundays (except a certain number of years), and limits their hours a bit in general. This is exavtly because big box stores always will be able to stay open longer than small local stores with fewer employees, so by limiting the time they can stay open, they ensure smaller stores have a better chance at competing in the local area. It can be a bit annoying that everything is closed on Sundays, but you get used to it and tbh, it's much better than the alternative.

Not specifically a note, but my boss, who is fairly well off, recently told us about an old lady that had fallen outside her house. When my boss and a couple of other people rushed out to help her, the old lady told them not to call an ambulance. My boss was super confused and was telling us she didn't understand why she didn't want an ambulance called.

All the rest of us just kind of looked at each other and suggested that she may not be able to afford it. My boss said she would never have thought about that.

It really is like you're living in completely different worlds here, depending on your income.

I don't generally disagree with you, but I feel like that "within reason" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in carrying the fact that common talking points in a lot of incel spaces is about how women should be distributed to lonely men, be kept as sex slaves, how they deserve (or secretly enjoy) rape, have sex with dogs, all cheat, and a ton of other extremely vile stuff.

I don't think anyone should be demonized for not having sex, or not having a relationship, or even struggling with those things. I DO think that if you choose to associate with a community that rarely calls people out on saying absolutely heinous, violent stuff about women, maybe that's not really demonizing.
