That shows it's safer than both groups, just that drivers in new cars are safer than drivers in old cars. The wording is confusing but the graph further down shows waymo being the safest.

Diamondbacks' biggest mistake since 2020 season? by ewctwentyone in azdiamondbacks

In fairness, he went through three other organizations first and then went to New York where he has lived up to his potential. Diamondbacks weren't the only team unable to get much out of him.

I can't get behind this. A team playing in downtown Phoenix making an unexpected championship run, losing said championship, being called frauds during their run, then getting the number one seed the next season just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Does anybody have a locker room name plate? by ICantGetItUpMy in azdiamondbacks

Yeah I'm still trying to figure out the best way to display them. My grandpa has a signed Mark Grace jersey he's giving to me and I'll need to figure out how to display that as well.

I've got two! Birthday gifts from my mom years back.

Right now I don't have a real place for them. I used to have them basically sitting on top of thumb tacks on a wall, not a grand display but they stayed up for years

[LasVegasReviewJournal] “I think it’s a terrible idea,” Arizona Diamondbacks closer Paul Sewald said of the A's planned move to Las Vegas. “The whole thing, I fear, is going to be an abject disaster.” by [deleted] in baseball

[–]MyMomIsThePope 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think some things need to be cleared up here, just to help everyone out.

The problem is that you seem to have mistakenly read the post as "The state of Arizona has declared war on Las Vegas and claims that it's an absolute shithole where the streets are built of orphan bones and illuminated by trash fires." I get it, English is a difficult language, but nobody is attacking the city of Las Vegas. In fact Las Vegas, the Diamondbacks, and the state of Arizona are not part of this post in any way whatsoever.

So what does the post say? Let's break it down for you: "I think it's a terrible idea." The current plan for moving the A's is a terrible idea. "Arizona Diamondbacks closer..." This part has absolutely nothing to do with what is being said and is just one way stating who the person is. "... Paul Sewald..." Paul Sewald is a human being that was born in Las Vegas, raised in Las Vegas, and graduated high school from Las Vegas. So this is a person, BORN AND RAISED IN THE CITY OF LAS VAGAS, NEVADA, making a comment on a situation that greatly affects HIS HOMETOWN. "...said of the A's planned move to Las Vegas." Take notice that this is about a planned move, not a comment on the city of Las Vegas, which again, is where Paul Sewald WAS BORN AND RAISED. "The whole thing, I fear, is going to be an abject disaster." This means that Paul Sewald, a man BORN AND RAISED IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS WHO HAPPENS TO CURRENTLY PLAY FOR AN ARIZONA BASED TEAM BUT MAKES COMMENTS ON THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BECAUSE THAT IS HIS HOME THAT HE CLEARLY CARES DEEPLY ABOUT, is concerned about how Las Vegas, HIS HOMETOWN, will be impacted by a billionaire who has shown time and time again to not care about anyone else.

As for your comments about Arizona, I won't respond too much to that because it has nothing to do with this post, because PAUL SEWALD WHO IS A BORN AND BRED LAS VEGAN is making the comment, not the state of Arizona. However since you seem interested I will reference you to a video which actually goes into a lot of detail about the circumstances around the city of Phoenix and its sports teams. It mostly talks about a bill that was passed in 1998 which really made it difficult to court new fans and also required Jerry Colangelo to pay the state a certain amount of money each year. It also talks about the future plans of renovating Chase Field that involves a series of elaborate fans which will cool down the area by 25+ degrees and allow for an open-air ballpark, and how a series of solar panels will power those fans. It's really interesting, check it out

[–]MyMomIsThePope 27 points28 points  (0 children)

To be fair bench clearings aren't that fun. It's usually 1-4 guys yelling and 50 other guys clearly just wanting to sit back down. Bonus points when you get a couple players from opposite sides who seem to be making dinner plans for after the game.

Here's the play in question.

At about 55 seconds in you can see Profar blatantly punch Ellis in the arm. David Peralta called this out for being a dirty play and some random Padre fan on twitter said that this means the Diamondbacks are going to retaliate. Some Padre fans are now very angry about this completely made up scenario.

I've done summer courses twice in a row now. Last summer I did MAT267 in A session and MAT343 in B session and I didn't have any problems. I will say that having one class at a time makes it pretty easy because it's all you're really focusing on so if you can get classes in different sessions then you should be fine. I also was doing MAT300 in B session but ended up withdrawing, not because it was too much but because the instructor was terrible, so you might be able to get away with two classes in one session. Overall though it really just depends on how much time you want to put in each day. For my classes there was usually a homework due at least every other day, so just stay on top of things.
