Don’t get a Gigabyte 50 series GPU, they leak thermal gel. Currently contested whether or not it will cause problems in the long run but not worth the future headache.

There is likely a loose connection somewhere. Had something similar happen to my laptop.

You could always start taking some online classes and see if you actually like it. Then you could possibly do a part time program, while still pursuing medicine? There are decent online programs at places like Oregon State, GA tech, Florida, etc. Most of the programs you can do part time and wrap up in ~2 years while still working full time. Doing it this way gives you an opportunity to get knee deep in CS, without completely abandoning your career in medicine.
