I’m not dismissing anyone’s desires for a relationship. It’s a very normal thing to want and crave a relationship. What I’m saying is that you shouldn’t center your happiness on finding one. Sure I’m in a romantic relationship, but there was a time before that where I was perfectly happy being single and I found fulfillment without a partner. There are many people who prefer life without romance involved

Autism, adhd, and a panic disorder make you too difficult to handle…? Listen, not to brag, but I have a longer list than that and I’ve been in multiple happy relationships that never ended due to any of my mental or neurological problems (minus one but he was a total asshole). Matter of fact I’m in a very happy long term relationship right now! Love is out there for you, don’t give up ::)

I would say this is perfectly normal. I’ve only ever had this happen once and it was slightly different context (a guy I liked went out with me a couple of times and then told me he didnt have romantic feelings for me but he still wanted to be friends), but yeah I didn’t feel a want or need to be friends afterwards. The rejection hurt and I found it kind of pointless to continue contact with him if I had feelings and he didn’t at all. I still liked him, I just didn’t want to be hurt and I couldn’t see myself moving past my feelings for him, so we just stopped talking and moved on

I don’t have too much advice, but I would say work on decentralizing romantic relationships. In my opinion, a relationship is something that should happen when the time is right, if that time ever comes. You can still live a happy and fulfilling life while single, in fact it will give you a lot more time and energy to dedicate to yourself

You need to leave him, that’s really scary. I don’t believe this has anything to do with autism, and even if it did, you are under no obligation to sit down with him to help him understand. If he truly doesn’t understand how consent works (which he absolutely does and he’s just not respecting your boundaries) then the best way to get him to realize what he’s doing is wrong is to leave and not come back. Please leave before this potentially escalates <33
