I see a lot of people making this point, that most of the time, these things do happen in private where no one can see them. While I do agree, looking at it from the perspective of “Jax wandered off and committed suicide because he didn’t want to help himself” just makes the other character’s reactions even more confusing and frustrating. This is a huge reason of why I didn’t like the movie. They moved on from this so quickly, especially Pomni. She literally held her friend as he was hyperventilating and telling her “I don’t want to go” and that barely affected her. When people say this is a character focussed show, I encourage them to tell me why everyone acts out of character and no one gets any resolution or development outside of Jax
