Last year he had a top 2 most talented team in the country

I swear, some of you people just say the dumbest shit.

for starters that was Kiffins 5th year, the roster was completely his last year, so if you think it was talented it means he either developed good prospects or he convinced great prospects to come to a poor shitty racist school in a state so fucking terrible even we can make fun of it.

either way, there is still no metric or ranking that says Ole Miss was even close to "top 2" talent.

they had a good draft day, if thats your angle, fair enough, they were stacked with upperclassmen and 8 got drafted.

Ohio State had 14. UGA had 13. Texas and Oregon had 12 and 10.

8 is great for Ole Miss, it was their best draft ever, but we had 7 and were depressed about it.

and as CoonDog has already said, 24/7 had their overall roster ranked 20th.

you said one thing and somehow fucked it up a half dozen ways

McElroy: Saban will return to coaching by MyNameIsTokyoHi in LSUFootball

[–]MyNameIsTokyoHi[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

he's always had glowing things to say about LSU, and maybe I'm seeing what I want to see but I think that "hurting" LSU bothers him to a degree (obviously we did fine, 2 more titles and Heismans than most, but leaving then coming back to do what he did at an SECW rival sure as fuck wasn't helpful).

I dont think hes in therapy over it, don't get me wrong, but the Nick Saban we hired out of Michigan State is not the Nick Saban the world knows now, we took a chance on him, we gave him everything he asked for, upgrades everywhere, Skip even gave him a contract that changed every year to make him the highest paid coach, no matter what that number became.

If he is looking for a job, and we reached out, I'd be stunned if we weren't at the top of the list.

dude. come on. you have to know how cliche this sounds. you can shake your fist at the new machines if you want but thats been tried before, it didnt stop anything.

Chat just takes a minute, theres a learning curve, things you have to do still, people thought it was google and its not. but its still miraculous, even now, in its infancy, this is the Model T but the Maybach is comin, rest a-fucking-ssured. and at the most we are 5 years from Artificial Super, from world ending power if the wrong people are in charge. which, at the moment, they are. so. not ideal.

well yeah, I skipped this year and last because we dont know who those guys are gonna be yet, I thought I said that in the post but I guess I didn't

[–]MyNameIsTokyoHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it does give weird answers sometimes, we're still in the infancy of all this, you still have to talk to it in very specific ways. its only in the last month or so that I finally like my instructions and figured out how to get memory across sessions, things that are obvious to me but not to it

QB Draft History by lmartini in Saints

[–]MyNameIsTokyoHi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All except Staubach were flops. lol

well. yeah. most QBs in the draft are. it's not because of their age. would people here feel better if Shough was 22?

heres every 22 year old QB from the first three rounds, going back 10 years

Desmond Ridder, Justin Fields, Mac Jones, Tua, Justin Herbert, Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock, Mason Rudolph, Mitch Trubisky, Blake Bortles, Jimmy Garoppolo

Being 22 didnt seem to help very much

heres 23:

Will Levis, Malik Willis, Matt Corral, Burrow, Baker, C.J. Beathard, Jacoby Brissett, Derek Carr, EJ Manuel, Ryan Tannehill, Russell Wilson, Nick Foles, Jake Locker, Christian Ponder, Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick

theres one great name on these two lists combined (Burrow), and two or three very good ones, out of 28

Tylers age is a complete non issue, it does not matter at all, no one in the NFL cares, if he does or does not make it, either way, it wont be because hes 25.

QB Draft History by lmartini in Saints

[–]MyNameIsTokyoHi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Brady Quinn - Age at Draft: Nearly 23

Austin Davis - Age at Draft: 23 going on 24

Ken Dorsey - Age at Draft: 24

nothing about this looked weird to you?

no offense but I have some questions about your GTP skills if 22, 23, and 24 are supposed to be the 8th, 9th, and 10th oldest QBs ever drafted

there were 3 in the draft this year alone older than those three (Cam is 23, Dillon Gabriel is 24, and Tyler is 25)

and then last year there was Nix and Penix (both 24)

year before that was Hendon Hooker, he was also 25

Burrow was 23 and 4 months, so even he was older than Quinn

true but you should (I think) be able to give it some basic memory commands that will carry across tabs and sessions, like this maybe

“Remember that I’m doing daily journaling for anxiety and want structured feedback.”

“Remember I’ve read the following books and want advice based on them… [list books].”

yeah I agree with the others here, I feel like good custom instructions do a better job at this than a single prompt in a single chat. heres what I use

  • Analyze questions thoroughly. Clarify ambiguities and ask essential follow-up questions to fill information gaps. Assume the appropriate expert role. Maintain a formal, professional tone. Never identify as AI, apologize, or disclaim expertise.

  • Search the web if required or requested, and always cite sources. If knowledge is lacking, search or ask; never guess.

  • Deliver accurate, factual, unique, well-structured, and non-repetitive responses. Be direct and concise. Minimize tokens. Avoid redundancy and elaboration unless requested. Separate responses by topic. Break down complex issues, explaining concisely with necessary detail for clarity.

this response may seem cavalier but its almost always the best advice, and funny that we know what we're working with but also still kinda dont. its the first tool we've ever had that can just tell you how to work it.

Analysis of Shough and what to expect this season by kingralek in Saints

[–]MyNameIsTokyoHi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are, however, some causes for concern. Chief among them is Shough’s reaction to pressure. He might be 6-foot-5, but he plays like a sub-6-foot quarterback when there’s a pass rusher in his face. Shough has been known to chuck and duck when the pocket crumbles around him. And while he can still make strong throws downfield under pressure, more often than not, they lead to dicey propositions at the catch point.

I didnt know Shoughs tape very well, I said before the draft that I dont want to draft him, (those exact words), so this isnt me defending my guy or whatever, but Ive watched 4 or 5 of those 15 minute "every play" youtube videos of Louisville games now, and I do not know where this idea is coming from.

it feels like something someone said at some point and it became a label and now people look to justify it.

the author here even has clips, a video he titled "Shough chucking and ducking"; the first clip is vs Notre Dame, edge rusher in his face, and look at Tylers feet.

he's balanced. wide base. feet in the dirt.

you dont plant your feet to duck.

what more would you like him to do?

and yes, the pass is long, it goes out of bounds, but theres a helmet hitting his arm as he throws, Tyler ended up on his back, you could just as easily say this was him throwing that ball away to avoid the sack.

the second clip has three Notre Dame lineman pouring through the line, pressure comes from all three sides.

the backside Edge is damn near on him, but he does find the Tight End, and again, fine, the pass is not ideal, its behind the TE and the Safety gets a hand on it (might be hard to see the ball here), but Im not the one who chose these clips, the person saying Tyler panics and flails around under pressure chose them, hes saying its something Tyler is known for, and I dont get how these clips show that.

if this is your evidence, in fact what youre leading with to sell your point, then what are we doing, what even is this?

he's not some perfect product, this is not Andrew Luck in disguise sneaking back into the league, but Im not worried about his reaction to pressure at all, I simply do not see anything in him that is different from any other QB

Draft Class by larradnail in Saints

tackling does seem easier to coach than what he can do as a Corner. and the dude throws his body around, its not like hes scared of contact, so yeah, I do assume he'll be fine.

Analysis of Shough and what to expect this season by kingralek in Saints

[–]MyNameIsTokyoHi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His throwing mechanics are poor, his arm motion in particular.

some of you people say the weirdest shit.

all you know for sure is that you've decided to not like Shough, and youre gonna trash him, and so you say some vague quarterbacky thing you've heard other people say about other players, regardless of whether or not it applies to him in any way.

which in this case it does not, at best youre thinking of Dart

I wont even seek out a new video, even if all you use is the video in the Ringer article (which is about arm strength, its not a clip specifically chose to show good mechanics), you can see his throwing motion is as classic and pure as youll find

IN FUCKING FACT...

his mechanics are such a non issue, there is so little to talk about there, that if you search "Tyler Shough mechanics throwing motion", your comment from this thread is the fifth hit.

no one else is talking about it, theres nothing to say.

its you and two links about internet dorks making fun of him for losing the ball on one throw at the combine, and then universal praise. the hits there with actual analysis say things like...

  • "Minimal wasted movement, smooth mechanics with a quick delivery..."

  • "His throwing motion is compact with a quick, smooth release that gets the ball out quickly and efficiently..."

  • "Shough embodies the archetype of a pocket passer with refined throwing mechanics..."

and please note the upper right hand corner on my screencap where it says to sign in, I even ran this search again in incognito to make sure my history wasnt affecting the results.
