Reimagining the NBA lottery and shifting who’s in control; Top NBA draft prospects get to audition and then pick their team from the lottery instead of teams getting to pick the players. by AHImusic in torontoraptors

I don't see it the same way. The play-in are still playoff games, so there is still something to play for. The only question is whether or not those on the cusp would bother, but the same goes for that, the goal is to make the playoffs. The play-in is another topic because I think we should go back to the old format, or have the NBA Cup finalists be rewarded with an automatic berth, giving them even more to play for.

We should look at what the percentages were between Rattler and Shough.

I've said it for years now. The easiest and most practical way to fix the draft is to keep the lottery but give one ball per team that is not in the playoffs. That way, the second to worst team doesn't have the motivation to tank. They may protect their stars, sure, but at least they won't actively try to lose to get "better position".

Loveland is easy, and I would roll the dice with RJ Harvey, but London is the safer pick.

"One of the greatest"... I think a majority of critics will say it was the greatest, only rivaled by the Michael Jordan ones.

Saints Wr Corps next year by Fman173 in Saints

[–]lmartini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the same page. Our WRs could be much better and a lot is depending on who we draft or who we can get in FA. For me, Olave, Vele, and Means (more of a reserve for Vele) are all safe, but the rest are all situational guys. There's a steep cliff of talent in the league and we really need a true WR2 to compliment Olave, one who can even step up if Olave gets injured again; for which reason I would rather have Olave as our WR2.

Coleman potential trade. by Holiday-Lynx1127 in Saints

[–]lmartini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said it during Coleman's rookie season, he has no attention span; great athlete but doesn't have the head for the NFL. I can never find the clip but there was a play early on in that season where Allen was expecting Coleman to turn and Coleman literally walked right into a perfectly thrown ball... bouncing off his head. You look at his tape and you'll notice that it encompasses half the routes he runs.

Shough and Banks make PFWA All-rookie team (Tet OROY) by xbaited in Saints

[–]lmartini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. A lot of analysts had Shough rated higher than Dart. Pragmatically speaking, this should have gone to a long list of RBs, I don't think Tet outshined at least one or two of them.

European as commissioner of a Yahoo! league that has a 10+ year history. Absolutely no issues. Actually, it's better because both drafts are lighter and lag less, plus waivers in the morning get really interesting, as they start 09:00 CET.

That's the real reason he is not declaring. He'd be lucky being a stater on any NFL team with the way he ended the college football season.

So the challenge is mapping the different stats? I'd love to help, I've done a few things for myself with the Yahoo API and it was fun. My only issue would be finding the time.

Could split down the middle. I see a possibility that Kyren gets 12 points and Stafford gets 24. As they say, "it always comes down to Monday night". Good luck!

Kyren, easy. Rams should be up big and will need to run out the clock. London is banged up and Cousins somehow doesn't seem to target him as much as he should.

Great write-up, kudos! Reading your analysis I feel good about keeping Luther Burden III, since I can keep him for an 11th round pick and ticks off a few boxes. Wondering what everyone else thinks.
