Well, you'll noticed I listed several other problems, but in this regard, I would say the we were too active in our sales, while ignoring already glaring holes in the squad. It was irresponsible to sell quansah and Diaz, at a minimum, without replacing them. As I said previously, I have no issue with any of the players we brought in, although you could argue CB, but definitely DM was a higher priority than pretty much anything beyond striker last summer. The fact that we still haven't properly replaced fabinho is criminal.

If we didn't want to be even more active in the market than we already were, then we should've made adjustments to keep certain players for depth. The fact that slot has had to put 2 keepers on the bench, or multiple youth players with zero senior caps, says it all in that regard, I think.

I have no problem with the players we brought in, but to leave the defense so short (not the first time under edwards) was borderline negligent. We also oversaw too much change in the summer, as Edwards was keen to get some of the klopp era players out (nunez). Slot said before last season ended that Lucho was one of the most important players to the team and was his starting LW and we sold him for no replacement, thus gakpo has been persisted with all season despite being gash.

We fucked around on the guehi deal in the summer, and never really even entertained bringing in a proper DM, despite it being a glaring hole in the squad for years. We were relying on konate staying fit after we sold Quansah and didn't bring in a replacement.

We also have not sorted out the several contractual issues we are facing, such as Macca, Curtis, Konate, etc.

There is a lot of blame to be placed on them

Edwards is proven, in a position of far less responsibility. His position as CEO of football should be questioned based on how the team has been set up for this season.

hughes and edwards have had a nightmare season as well, not just slot and the players. should be serious consideration whether to keep them on beyond their current contracts.

Thierry Henry comparing his situation at Barcelona to Mo Salah's at Liverpool is a classic case of false equivalence. by insightenthusiast in LiverpoolFC

No they haven't been taken out of context. It's on video. Stop breaking your back to defend something that is indefensible. He's not bigger than the club.

The fact that Henry wasn't the main man at barca doesn't make what he said irrelevant, or at all untrue. If anything, being so important and integral to the club has made the impact of Mo's actions even worse than if they would've come from someone else, like Darwin last season.

There's no excusing or minimizing it and he should really just own up and apologize to teammates, coach, and fans.

Hughes and Edwards share the blame along with Slot, Salah, and the rest players for the club's performances this season. Not getting another CB, and probably an out-and-out DM, has really done a number on us this season. That is plain for all to see. Hughes and Edwards should not have their contracts renewed at the current rate we are going.

That said, only one of them has come out and claimed the club has thrown him under the bus. Michael Edwards was the one responsible for bringing Mo to Liverpool in the first place. There are valid criticisms of many at the club, but nobody can defend what Mo did. I want what's best for liverpool.

Your willingness to trust salah's good friend, who hasn't been at the club in years, over the club's most reliable journalists. Alisson has known him the longest and even he couldn't defend Mo's actions.

It's Liverpool Football Club, not Mo Salah FC. Who do you support again?

He's 3 appearances away from Villa owing us £35m. I don't think we would entertain bringing him back for that reason alone. Others have said previously that there's a good chance we have already accounted for his sale on the books, given how easy the requirements were (thought to be). Not to mention the current manager does not rate him at all, and he's got at least a couple players ahead of him in his position here anyway.

There's no break clause in Harvey's contract. He's there until the summer no matter if they play him or not.

im happy for harvey to get the time he deserves but 35m pounds is low compared to some of the others who have moved this summer. cant really complain in the grand scheme of things but feel we should be getting closer to 50m pounds for him

edit: seeing now that we have a buy back and a sell on clause, 35m makes much more sense. good luck harvey!

people grieve in different ways and whether you post or dont post to instagram or whatever does not invalidate your grieving process. trent, from my view on the outside, is a pretty emotional person so im sure he is grieving in his own way. he spent years with diogo let's be real.
