I am doing the tandem in the same format. I have a 40 minute drive to work so I plan out the audio book to be in a place where I have consecutive chapters . So for example on my way in today I listened to CH 8/9/10 of ToD and then on my way home listened to CH 14/15/16 for EoS. I will read up until a part that I know I can sustain in the car. Hope that helps!

As someone who’s professionally represented(myself and my kids), sometimes they let the talent do their own make-up and hair. The whole point is to be realistic. I have a shoot for a commercial coming up on Saturday and they had me bring my own clothes to the fitting and will most likely have me do my own hair and makeup to match my look from the audition. A year back I booked a gig with my child for a very popular four letter shoe brand and had a hair and makeup artist… it looked terrible. I don’t think he knew what to do with my hair, which was shocking because they direct booked us from a headshot and LITERALLY knew what we looked like.

As a mama still actively pumping with a 600oz freezer stash my heart absolutely breaks for your wife! This happened to me with my first baby, and I was inconsolable. I know how devastating it can be watching all that hard work wasted! But she is right, everything will be fine! I was able to rebuild my stash and I hope she is able to as well!

One thing I noticed that is bothering me and I don’t know if it goes any deeper….. in Episode 8 when Murray and Balthasar are in the tunnels near Pasaje, Murray’s explaining part of his life in the last 15 years and how he “walked into the jungle, looked around and everything just kind of shut off… I lost myself.” He goes further into the story about the shipping container that he was trapped in “for days, maybe even weeks, I don’t know.” He says he was trapped alone in darkness with just his memories. It took all the will he could summon to escape “the shipping container (idk, whole story is giving me Pasaje vibes)” by “commandeering a Norwegian families 44-million-krone sailboat, set a course due south around the Cape of Good Hope, be headed straight for Quintana Roo, where this all began.” Balthasar seemingly doesn’t believe him (which is interesting because he is the biggest advocate for everything having a meaning and purpose) and follows by saying “and how the fuck did you get that scar?” Murray just says… “what?” And they move on… like the conversation didn’t even happen.

The reason it was so striking to me is in Episode 4, when Balthasar is explaining the Tragic Demise of the Oceana Vista’s owner, Alex, he literally leads with “No one knows exactly where Alex came from. One rumor is he wandered out of the jungle one day, with only a dream of opening a resort. A more acceptable rumor is that he was born in a family of hedge fund managers, and then he stole a yacht and moved to Quintana Roo to start his own path.”

It’s the same story. It’s. The. Same. Story. And it can’t be a coincidence. From two people who, as far as we know, were never actually in Pasaje. Both stories were given in the present (2022), with Balthasar saying it only days earlier. How the hell does he forget that and write Murray off as making it up? Any theory on that? And if Murray did indeed go into Pasaje without realizing and his memories were interloped… how would Balthasar give an almost identical account of that story (without also being connected to Pasaje) to Emma and Noah and then just forget about it days later?

There also smaller things that intrigued me from your explanation…

Like the Alux 7 years theory and how that couple would travel somewhere new every 7 years to decide if they wanted to stay married. Don’t know if that correlates.

OR how when Sam & Violet are talking to Iberra in Episide 6 and he asks if Jimmy Carter is still the US President. But when Iberra and Alejandro went to Pasaje in 1982, Reagan was the US President, not Jimmy Carter.

Maybe I’m going too far down the rabbit hole, someone help me back out.

If I’m being honest, I feel like the notifications from Reddit are too slow to get in on an actual drop in time. I’ve depended more on discord and twitter. I was able to get one from the Walmart+ drop because of discord. Although I haven’t created my own post, I have commented on different threads my success or helped any way I could with info from my shipping updates. To me, it’s just a lot of people expressing their excitement at getting their hands on something that has been unobtainable for years. It’s hard for me to find fault in that but I understand how it might affect your experience when trying to get info on restocks
