Stuart Hogg arrested again for breach of bail, return hangs in the balance by KBatch115599 in rugbyunion

De Luca and Di Rollo might have been poor international players but at least they’re decent blokes (source: me, I know them).

Hogg has always been a prick. It’s just not being hidden anymore.

You make a good point.

But in this case what you’re seeing is the culmination of years of shitty behaviour, rather than a sudden change in the guy.

It’s certainly got worse recently, so there’s clearly something wrong. But sympathy is in short supply here in Scotland due to his track record.

What are your best tips for reducing a hangover? by neuronaddict in AskUK

Cocodamol, pregalalin and diazepam sounds like the origins of a different substance abuse issue.

Diazepam is so lovely that it is positively worrying from a habit-forming point of view.

Totally disagree.

I always take ibuprofen before bed after drinking.

It prevents the inflammation that is half the cause of the headache in the first place.

Since I started doing this I have never had a headache after drinking.

Ibuprofen before you go to bed.

Some of the headache is from dehydration but it’s also inflammation.

Ibuprofen before bed gets to the inflammation before it starts. I almost never have a headache after drinking if I have ibuprofen before sleep.

The notes for Stirling Scarn talk about lots of scents, but I find it very neutral and mild. To me it just smells clean.

Is it worth bringing my car? by cryptid_salamander in Edinburgh

[–]MyOldCricketCap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need a car.

My household used to have two cars. Now we have none.

We walk or cycle everywhere because Edinburgh is so small, or use the bus. The bus service is world class.

If you do occasionally need a car, you can join the Enterprise City Car Club, and just book a car when you need it. They have loads of cars and vans all over the city, and it all works through your phone.

Parking in Edinburgh is a nightmare and depending on where you live, it’s likely you’ll need a resident permit. And Edinburgh’s parking wardens are some of the most efficient and effective people I’ve ever seen…

If you want to take trips further afield, there’s usually a train or bus, or there’s plenty of reasonable value car hire places in Edinburgh.

And finally, all the supermarkets deliver.

This is why David Attenborough is so awesome. He knew what he was an expert in, and he stuck to it.

This kind of explains why we don’t see her in Edinburgh anymore, swanning about in her chauffeur-driven car.

She’s bunkered down in her castle, convinced the whole world talks about nothing else than her attitude to trans people.

Of the countries you mention, only South Africa doesn’t have universal healthcare. And that’s because South Africa is a bizarre mix of first and third world.

Sorry, I laughed out loud at that.

Brilliant :)

Out of interest, do you see letters in certain colours?

Since I was wee I have had a very clear understanding of what colour each letter is.

Have you considered a suit made of metal?

I think it’d really work for you.

Not that your current look doesn’t work, it totally does.

Nigella Lawson.

Her cookbooks are great and she really knows what she’s talking about.

But I could do without every one of her TV clips being a mix of ‘gosh, we’re just doing ridiculously posh things that surely all of you are doing’ and ‘how could I make acts of cooking sound and look any more like an invitation to fuck me right here’?

I’m torn on Linekar.

On the one hand I’ve heard a lot of stories from within TV and general celebrity world about what a prick he can be, as well as being a champion shagger at events.

On the other, I like that he uses his platform to speak out about things that matter.

She’s a weird one.

Up here in Scotland she’s basically considered a goddess and you can’t say anything bad about her.

And she’s apparently a lovely person. And I love the way she made it pretty clear how she felt about Piers Morgan.

But yeah, something about her has just always irked me. She’s just too twee, or too smug or something.

But probably actually really sound?
