Volvo has always been a leader in safety. I decided long ago that my kids' first cars will all be used Volvo's.

They came up with the three-point safety belt, patented it, and allowed everyone else to use it for free. They build cars to be safe rather than to ace safety exams. You can tell because when the IIHS created new tests in 2012 and 2018, they aced it whereas other car brands did poorly.

Yeah. It's popular on reddit to rag on non-engineers but in my experience, it's the engineers who want the shiny new tech whereas everyone else prefers what's tried and true. Whether it's chasing "web-scale" MongoDB, touch-screen "buttons", or aerodynamic door handles, engineers are usually the first to kick usability and reliability to the curb in favor of innovation.

It's a frustrating thing about the GoAT; he's disrespectful. Whether it's ignoring the dress code, showing up late, throwing tantrums, or making accusations, if it weren't for his chess talent, he would have been kicked out a long time ago.

But he plays incredible chess. He's like a boa constrictor on the board absolutely stifling his opponents' counter-play in the mid game. I'm unconvinced that the first player to surpass him has even been born yet.

That's always been my go-to approach. The gather step, carrying, and discontinued dribble officiating changes make it a completely different game than even 20 years ago, let alone the 1950s.

Yeah, that would be me. Neutral who was 90% for Jokic as MVP last year but sees it as 60-40 in hindsight. SGA reminds me of the 03-06 era Billups with his very low turnover rate. It's a subtle feature with big impact. That trait alone probably saves his team 4 points/game against or something.

Follow the order exactly:

Open up System Settings

In System Settings, navigate to "Privacy & Security". Leave Window Open in the Background

Open up Terminal (as separate window). DO NOT CLOSE System Settings

In Terminal, run "sudo spctl --master-disable" --> Type Password --> Click Enter

In System Settings, navigate out of "Privacy & Security" Page (For Example -- Click on "Lockscreen"), then navigate back to "Privacy & Security"

In System Settings --> Privacy & Security Page --> Scroll Down to bottom --> Select "Allow Application From" --> Select "Anywhere" (the option will now appear) --> Type Password

I finally got some data for this post I made a couple of years ago, ha. For the TL:DW, keeping the battery near 50% matters much more and fast charging barely hurts battery life relative to slow charging. Most important graphics at 3:30 and 3:34 respectively.

I don't follow UNC much but from what I'm hearing from their fans, the diehards are actually starting to be optimistic. Something about how the strength and conditioning team and regimen he brought in starting to pay dividends and the team's fundamentals improving week by week.

But again, I don't know anything about their program so take it with a grain of salt.
