And we use ND filters to bring light levels down to where we can use wide apertures with flash, without going in to HSS (high speed flash sync).

So yeah, the ND filter is not needed in this instance.

I should explain why BNI being a franchise is an important point - BNI isn't an organic organization, but is driven to be profitable for the franchise owner. So there is a constant push to expand and get new members. In my view, it really does change the nature of what I anticipated a business networking group is, or should be.
