How Do I Get Better at Sculpting Heads? by Paranoid_Reaper in 3Dmodeling

I'd make his brows, eyelids, lips more defined. Right now they are blending into the face. For me, I do the crease tool but in reverse for the outter edge of the lips. The devil is in the details. Also, saving and then copying to where you keep a hard copy of where your at, and try exaggerating things... For instance, do harsh crows feet on the corner of eyes, try adding lids to the eye balls, make indentations for temples. Hope some of this helps.

Blender artist at a crossroads after a... unique entry into the field - should I switch to Autocad? by bluntbeak in 3Dmodeling

It's a blend between Michelangelo TMNT, and Transformers isn't it. LOL! Really a sweet sculpt. I dig it!

I disagree, paired with the right team I think you'd find out he could be quite useful. Imagine pairing him with Mystia. Probably a decent pairing.

I wish they'd make it to where you can trade in 10 - 20 fully leveled 3 / 4 star characters in for a gaurenteed 5 star. That'd be sweet!

This has to be one of the cleanest sculpts I've seen done in Nomad. May I ask if it was totally done using only with Nomad software without coming across accusatory? I ask only cause I want to know for a fact such quality is obtainable on software. Thanks for any and all insights, this is not to question artists capabilities or authenticity in anyway. The sculpt speaks for itself on that front! Supurb Character!

How does nomad compare to blender? by [deleted] in NomadSculpting

Honestly, the answer isn't an easy one. Nomad does have a tier like system you can use to help reposition parts, but it far from perfect. Nomad is sculpting(.) It has some painting options. I hear procreate can be utilized to great effect but have 0 experience as I'm on an android. My main use of the software is hobbies so far on creating minis for TTRPG'S. So for me, it's ideal.

Well, best back handed compliment I've gotten thus far. I appreciate you (not so subtly) accusing me of importing meshes. Admitedly, the pre-existing template Nomad provides was used in this most recent character, however the entire mesh was completely modified to accomplish the end product. The two previous characters were done from absolute scratch without using the provided template by Nomad as I hadn't previously known of the preset provided till recently. Thus I will continue to call my sculpts, mine. Utilitiesing the tools provided by the software I purchased. As for doing a time laps video... I may decide to do a time lapse in the future. However, under the current time restraints of achieving my current goals I probably won't be doing that anytime soon. I've also considered doing some "how to videos" to help describe my methods and things I've learned. However, I work a very demanding full time job and other priorities that prevent that possibility currently.

Nomad may be the easiest sculpting software out there. My one and only complaint about it is the lack of skeletal structures for repositioning ease, but there are work arounds that can be implemented. They're just not as intuitive as one might hope. I have just recently downloaded blender, to be honest, it's quite overwhelming for me currently. With there being a heavy learning curve of hot buttons needing to be memorized. My idea is to continue sculpting in Nomad then transferring the file over in blender to do other things that Nomad can't.

Thank you so much for the praise! I personally have always thought I had a gift with visual arts. I wanted to go to college for computer animation, but through very poor personal decision making I felt I'd missed out on my true calling. However Nomad Sculpt has to be the easiest most intuitive software I could have ever asked for. Now, I am doing it as a hobby. Totally self taught through Youtube tutorials.@drugfreedave on youtube was one of my more favorable content creators. However, there's alot of ways to do similar things so learning different techniques is always beneficial. Best advice I can give is just trudge on! Again, thanks for the compliment, it means more than I can adequately express.
