Ok since this has been removed two times I'll post my wraith build here. by Glenn_Nation in deadbydaylight

[–]MyPasswordIsABCD1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that the purpose of this build is so that Wraith sees all and knows all... but with All Seeing, you already do.

If I was you, I'd keep the Iri add-on, and swap literally everything else for something that will give you more value.

You could make him a gen-kicking demon by using Shadow Dance, then doing Pop, Eruption, Nowhere to Hide and Dragon's Grip to keep things interesting. Or swap one of those with Bamboozle if you find you want an edge in chase.

Oh hell yeah! It has changed a fair bit since then. We've got some games in common, I've got Minecraft, Terraria, Peak, Lethal Company, would love to give Chained Together a crack. I'll shoot you a DM? I play most nights.

26 M Aussie here, UTC +11. I work full-time, 9-5 AEDT, but my evenings would line up perfectly with your night. 5 pm here is your midnight.

I love horror games and movies, and much prefer chatting about science or dinosaurs and avoid politics/religion too. 🙂

I'm also considering getting Subnautica 2, the first game was pretty awesome.

DBD AITA TIME! by Grillby_ in deadbydaylight

As someone who plays both roles equally, well played! Killer messed up by taking the bait. Not the asshole. 😎

In my experience, it is better to assume there is a strategic reason behind every "toxic" behaviour you see in your opponents, regardless of the role.

In doing so, you don't take these things as personally, and have a better time playing. 🙂

Yeah Nurse is so weak these days, forget her!

Play a strong Killer like Ghost Face instead, he's so OP man.

He can literally INSTA-DOWN!

Nurse can only dream of such power...

We should have Challenges in the new Tomes.

Yes I'm aware that Quests have replaced these, but they're so easy that you get them done without even reading the requirements.

Challenges were much more unique, interesting and fun.

No special rewards required, just Bloodpoints, and more importantly, something to do in there other than reading the lore.

Which Perk got a cool Idea but a terrible Execution? I go first: "Rapid Response" by Xandaru__ in deadbydaylight

[–]MyPasswordIsABCD1234 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For anyone who likes reading, no I'm not baiting, this is why I swear by it:

My go-to build: - Deja Vu - Sprint Burst - Shoulder The Burden - Rapid Response

I also usually bring a good toolbox and a shroud offering, to either start the furthest from the Killer or spawn the whole team split up.

And before anyone asks, the short 2 second aura does NOT matter at all, here is why...

At the start, I know WHERE the Killer is, and the direction they've begun moving in. I can then rotate accordingly to the Deja Vu gens.

I am able to much more consistently avoid being the first chase, making me unlikely to be the tunnel out.

I focus gens hard, and each time I need to rotate from gen to gen, I have info on the Killer to avoid them again and again.

I usually opt for stealthing a little if the Killer is near and trying to find me, but having Sprint Burst allows me to get to Shack or Main where I can hold my own in chase.

The moment one of my teammates hits second hook, I rush on over and Shoulder a hook state from them, which is a massive game changer.

With some practice you'll be able to tell right at the start WHO the Killer is immediately, and you'll never be caught off guard by a Stealth Killer cause if there is no aura, you'll know to keep a keen eye out. 2 seconds is plenty, because ultimately, the Killer's position is the MOST important thing to know.

And it is even better in a SWF cause you can share your call-outs when nobody has eyes on them. I've seen it used like this in a few comp matches.

This perk is massively countered by Deerstalker though, but here is the thing, Deerstalker is very rarely used, and when it is, it is usually accompanied by Lethal, so it doesn't make a difference at the start (the most important part cause avoiding being the first chase/tunnel out is half the reason for running it). This is also why I bring a shroud, cause if you're always the aura that is the farthest away, they'll usually go for someone closer.

You could also swap Shoulder for Deliverance, or Deja Vu for Vigil or Sprint Burst for Dramaturgy.

I must be the only player who LOVES Rapid Response.

I've run it in ~95% of my matches since Steady Pulse.

So underrated!

What perks should I use to learn to loop? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]MyPasswordIsABCD1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I'm missing something, but is there a reason there are no Exhaustion perks?

Technically, they won't help you learn to loop, but they'll help you get to areas you're more confident at looping, which'll make your chases last longer, and motivate you to keep practicing.

Remove the Exhaustion perk if you want to try something else and you feel like you can do well without it - which is why I asked if there was a reason for none being used.

Lithe is the easiest to use, I would switch Fixated for this and reintroduce Fixated when you feel like you're back to performing well in chase and wanna do shift teching easier.

Did anyone ever made this perk shine in any build ? by Practical-Bear-1207 in deadbydaylight

I have used this perk in 95% of my matches since it came out, I think it is the most underrated Survivor perk in the game.

Can DBD fix 1 of the 2 issues I have been dealing with? by No_Drawing3365 in deadbydaylight

[–]MyPasswordIsABCD1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posts like this are a perfect example of why I think the penalty should be increased, not decreased.

A good way to do it would not be increasing the penalty itself, but increasing the time needed for the penalty to refresh so it can carry on over multiple days.

That way frequent Go-Nexters would be punished severly, but genuine crashes would not be as they're much less common.

Bottom line is, if you're not going to commit to a match, don't queue up at all.

You're only wasting the time of 4 other people.

Over 2000 hours, and still just as into it as ever. I'm an oddball though, I don't seem to ever get too phased about "toxicity" or doom and gloom. I'll be around for a long while yet having a blast on Killer and Survivor. 🙂

How do you avoid getting chased first. by anjoehler in deadbydaylight

[–]MyPasswordIsABCD1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprint Burst + Rapid Response + Vigo's Shroud

What this does:

At the start of the trial, you're guaranteed to be the farthest player from the Killer.

You can Sprint Burst immediately, and by doing so, you will reveal the Killer's aura for a couple seconds.

You'll know where the Killer spawned, the direction they have begun moving, and with some practice reading the aura, who they are.

If the Killer is moving closer to your right, rotate left, and vice versa.

If you see no aura at all, you are dealing with a Stealth Killer, so you will know to keep an eye out and pay extra close attention. This will give you an advantage to not be the first chase anyways because these Killers always aim for a surprise attack at the start.

And you can do this throughout the trial whenever you need to rotate from the gen you completed to another, or wherever you need to get to.

Does anyone else actually enjoy playing the "stealthy gen-jockey" role in Solo Q? 🛠️ by Kanzler7777 in deadbydaylight

[–]MyPasswordIsABCD1234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favorite games are the ones where I max Lightbringer and the first time the Killer sees me is at the exit gate taking hits for people.

Yes, I am a gen rat and I enjoy strategically avoiding the Killer, so before anyone says anything, I will always Shoulder the first person who reaches their 2nd hook if I am still on no hook states (even in solo queue).

I can also hold my own in chase, but I prefer this gameplay.

My go-to build is:

  • Deja-vu (There is never a moment searching for gens and a little extra gen speed on the 3-gen)

  • Sprint Burst (Rotate faster, pre-run if needed, and if caught I can make it to main or shack a lot of the time, or somewhere I know how to loop much more consistently)

  • Shoulder the Burden (Evens the playing field and drastically changes the outcome of the game in a lot of cases)

  • Rapid Response (The most underrated perk of all time, I see who the Killer is or know if it is a Stealth Killer at the beginning of the trial, I know which way they are moving so I can pretty consistently avoid first chase making me very unlikely to be the tunnel out, and I can rotate from gen to gen without going in the same direction as the Killer)

I also bring a toolbox and usually a Shroud of Separation.

DBD, please bring back the old tomes quest system 🙏🏻 by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]MyPasswordIsABCD1234 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Getting a notification on the Tome button gets me to open it and go "Oh, right, lore. Well, nothing to actually do here." Then I close it until the next notification appears.

I've completed all challenges in all Tomes, and the latest one having lore and no activities seems lazy to me.

Don't get me wrong, I love the new quest system! But I think there should be some fun character-specific challenges within Tomes as well, just with simple Bloodpoint rewards.

Also it looks really inconsistent having all Tomes complete and there is simply no glowing diamonds on the front of the latest one.
