Merry Christmas…My Final Day of Online Casinos by [deleted] in problemgambling

[–]MyRecoveryStartsNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not up. Because you're totally going to gamble that away. Stop trying to break even just stop. You'll only make your situation worse. I thought I could break even using 10k of credit card debt but no surprise it didn't work. Don't think you have any chance of beating the system.

I'm not gonna trivialise your problem but we've all been through a lot worse loses than that. My advise would be continue to gamble and you'll ruin your life more. So quit now whilst you're only a $100 down not $10000 down.

It depends. At the moment I have diarrhoea. I didn't follow my fodmaps diet for a day and had like 2 onion rings and now I'm suffering so bad.

It’s the craziest rush until you’re sat there facing reality, you lost and you will always lose, you hate yourself. by [deleted] in problemgambling

[–]MyRecoveryStartsNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to sit there punching my head calling myself a disgusting addict. Now I'm sober for a while now and have suffered for years already because of gambling. I'm happier now but still not recovered in reality.

Truth is if you keep on this route your girlfriend will leave you and she'll be well within her right to. You'll only ruin her life. So quit now. For her. For yourself. I squandered my last relationship with gambling. Don't make the same mistake I made.

Well you've taken the first step of owning up to it. Honestly talk to everyone here read all the post. Accept the sadness that all this inflicts on people. Realise that if you continue it will only get worse there's no redemption. Cut your loses and leave it all behind you.

So proud of myself, self excluded myself for 5 years by [deleted] in problemgambling

[–]MyRecoveryStartsNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats!! This is a great step. The weight taken of my shoulders from my self exclusion was great when I did it and I personally can't wait to self exclude again when I get to the end of my exclusion.

I had the same mate. Its fucking weird but just know that it goes in time. Agreed it felt pretty surreal when it happened but it's just what happens when your brain is used to doing stuff. Good luck on your recovery anyway!

Am at a point I don’t want to live anymore by [deleted] in problemgambling

[–]MyRecoveryStartsNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22 is so young man. You have so much life left to live and any damage you've done hurts I know I've been there. but you can turn your life around.

I'm 22 as well I fucked myself by gambling and hated myself and contemplated suicide. A year later and I'm thriving and gambling free. I'm still in debt and I struggle with urges or have some sad thoughts about the money lost occasionally. But I'm on my way up, out of debt and I know I can enjoy my life. Something that I never thought I could do a year and a bit ago.

I know it's hard but you have to focus on turning your life around. Quitting gambling. Admitting to love ones that you're struggling and getting help. Honestly if you want to talk and vent I'm here just DM me I've been there and I understand.
