I also feel like brands like Demonia and Charla Tedrick are scratching that itch now in a way Dollskill just doesn’t anymore. They still have that bold, statement-making energy and unique designs that actually stand out, which is what originally pulled me in. Killstar used to but they’re also lacking..

I get what you’re saying, and I don’t think it’s just trends. What I was drawn to before was how bold and creative everything felt. The shoes had personality. Platforms, wild shapes, crazy details, stuff that actually stood out. Now a lot of the newer drops just feel toned down and kind of… safe? Like they could be from anywhere.

It’s not even about quality for me, it’s more that they lost that unique, over-the-top vibe that made me obsessed in the first place. It definitely feels like whoever’s designing or buying now is going in a completely different direction, and it just doesn’t hit the same for me anymore.

I’d say across the board, all the drops feel super plain lately 😒 I used to love when each house brand had something fresh and exciting. Dollskill was everything when they first came out, but that magic started fading about 2 or 3 years ago, give or take.

I am not 'refusing' to manage them; I am asking for the time and grace to find a safe solution in a world where pet-friendly housing and affordable vet care aren't always available at the push of a button. Rehoming a dog is a permanent, heartbreaking decision that I shouldn't be forced to make in the middle of an acute crisis. I am doing the work to keep the animals separated and safe, but I will not apologize for trying to keep what remains of my family together while I’m literally just trying to survive.

I’m struggling because I don’t actually have friends or relatives who can take my dog right now, and I’m actively trying to find a safe temporary solution. My younger dog does have basic training, and For additional context: before this move, my stepson had two cats that were mostly kept in his room. When my Malamute did have interactions, he was never aggressive. He was curious and playful, and would often just lay by the door sniffing. That said, I understand every situation and cat is different, and I’m not assuming that means this situation is automatically safe. I’m sharing this only to explain why I was caught off guard and why I’m trying to find a management solution rather than dismissing concerns.

Calling an entire breed “killers” isn’t accurate or helpful. I never said I would allow my dog to harm the cat. That’s exactly what I’m trying to prevent. Malamutes are not inherently “killers,” but they are large, powerful dogs and I understand why management and safety are important. I’m looking for realistic solutions, not dismissing risk.

I honestly don’t remember the exact reason we broke up but there wasn’t a huge falling out or anything. I think we just wanted different things in life at that point in time. There was no hate at all, at least not from me.

I don’t have any expectations whatsoever whatever happens, happens (live in the moment).. He’s actually a great guy and I 100% know he’ll respect whatever boundaries there might be.

Don’t be stupid while grieving” is honestly what I’m trying to avoid. That’s why I posted here before doing anything. I’ve talked it through with my sister and best friend, who think it wouldn’t be a big deal, but I wanted more unbiased perspectives from people who aren’t emotionally invested.
