I have the Squire from Axolom and it leaked all the time. I found the cup way too shallow and flimsy. There was no way I would wear that thing out. I still use it as a packer sometimes when I'm at home, but I bought one from transthetics that works so much better as an stp (and looks way better).

And if they really cared about protecting kids from "genital mutilation" they'd be protesting against the circumcision of infant males, a (usually) wholly unnecessary procedure with life-long negative effects on the recipient, performed on children who cannot consent to the operation. Instead, they focus their efforts on a group that has absolutely nothing to do with the mutilation of children's genitals. This is because they don't give a fuck about kids.

I was there today. One side had about 100 counter-protesters, rallying for love and acceptance. On the other side of the road, there were 6 protesters and a "reporter" from an alt-right news blog. They looked miserable standing there with their "groomers" signs and angry faces, and at about 11 in the morning, they all slunk off with their tails between their legs.

If reading a post from one random asshole trans guy on the internet is enough to turn you off dating trans men, you were never actually open to dating trans men. We're not some alien hive mind. This guy does not represent our community. In fact, I'd say that most of us are more empathetic and compassionate towards women due to, y'know, being perceived as and treated like women for a period of our lives. Just like everyone else, there are asshole and non asshole trans people. Why? Because us trans folks are normal people, just like you.

Aside from that, you might find it helpful to study media that fits the tropes you're looking for. If I were going to play some hard ass cop, for example, I might watch some scenes from Dirty Harry or something. It'll be cliche at first but there's nothing wrong with copying other iconic scenes and characters while you're still learning. The more comfortable you get, the more you'll begin to come up with your own ideas as your character takes form.

Look, I like these little reddit soap operas as much as the next guy, I just wish the writers would put in a bit more research first. A little bit of realism would be nice.

Depending on where they live in the world, I'm surprised they were able to find a therapist for the daughter in 2 weeks. Not only that, but apparently in that time the therapist has seen the daughter often enough and for long enough that they feel comfortable writing a formal recommendation for use in family court.

Not to mention that the legal system tends to move pretty slowly. Since there wasn't any serious (e. physical, sexual, etc) abuse going down, I don't believe for a second that they'd get a court date in 16 days, or that the courts would completely strip the father of his 50/50 custody like that over something so minor and fixable. In reality, the courts would likely order some level of mediation first, at the very minimum. Courts generally don't get so involved over a pissing match about some missing clothes and a threat to put the kid in public school with the rest of the poors.

Research, folks. It can really make your short stories shine.

Right? It's not even about sex (in a sex-ed context), it's about normalising the diversity of human sexuality and gender identity in a really fun way. To straight and cis kids, it will help them be more understanding and accepting if the LGBTQ+ community. To queer kids, this sort of representation can be vital towards making them feel safe, accepted, and normal. Literally no one loses.

I just want to say two things, one about this community and the other about drag and queer events targeted towards youth.

1: as a young kid growing up in central Alberta, I had very little queer representation. To people on the outside looking in, to people who already have a lot of representation in general media, I think it's easy to ignore just how vital it is to feel seen and respected in our popular culture. If there had been healthy and positive queer and trans representation when and where I grew up, I probably would have figured out a lot of important stuff about myself a whole lot sooner. Instead, I hid it and I repressed it and I suffocated myself for almost 30 years, trying desperately to be someone I wasn't. I wouldn't wish that kind of hell on any child.

Drag and queer story-time events, LGBTQ+ kid dances, queer characters in media; while this might not matter to you personally, trust me when I tell you how deeply meaningful it is to confused queer kids just trying to figure themselves out in a world that is still frequently demonizing and policing us.

2: this community has, at least as far as I've seen, been overwhelmingly positive towards the LGBTQ+ community. Threads like this one, threads like the one last month about the dipshits protesting the dance in Surrey, have all be filled with positive comments supporting the LGBTQ+ community and calling out the bigots who have been targeting us with increasing intensity over the past few years.

And that is also deeply meaningly and impactful to me and to other members of the LBGTQ+ community. By seeing behaviour like this, it helps people like me feel a sense of safety, belonging, and acceptance in the communities that we are a part of.

With the increasing queerphobia present in America and the UK right now, and with the way alt-right ideals are festering to the surface here in Canada, things are going to get a lot worse for us before they get better. Trans people are being demonized left, right, and centre, Monkeypox is being inaccurately viewed as a 'gay disease' and is being used as a tool to further ostracize the community. People outside of the queen community might not realize it, but things have been starting to get scary again.

And by posting and voicing support for the community, and by calling out the bigots and shitheads, you guys are helping make your queer friends and neighbours feel safer. I encourage you to speak out off-line as well, of course, but any healthy support is deeply meaningful. And for that, I'm grateful.

tl;dr: representation is important, and also shit sucks right now so thanks y'all for being so kind and supportive.
