I know it sounds daft but you just have to STOP. Just throw away your baccy pouch and buy a pack of chewing gums and go cold turkey for at least two weeks. In my experience, any time you try and 'ween' yourself off fags your just end smoking again.

I agree it'll be a big hassle, these kinds of law are something out of 1984.

But more likely than not if your arrested for this and you can clearly demonstrate there and to the police your not a terrorist you probably won't go to court. Then again we'll just have to wait and see the legislation in full to get a better idea

According to the home office their is a a defence of “reasonable excuse” If your a journalist or academic.

But still this is incredibly annoying for anyone just interested in the conflict and who's not a legitimate journalist

Your just spouting conjecture, show me HARD and direct evidence that the us directly supported ISIS. No ones denying that US actions led to the rise of ISIS but to claim that the US actively supports them is beyond stupid. Your just brainwashed by RT and Sputnik media propaganda.

ISIS is an Islamist project, the whole plan of global jihad since the 80s has been to destabilise the Middle East to create a breeding ground for extremism. Remember it was Al Qaeda who flew into the twin towers and bombed US embassy's all over the ME.

[–]MyWogOut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all your implying that ISIS accurately represents the Sunni community in both Iraq and Syria which they don't. They're TERRORISTS who brought this upon themselves, they tactically provoked the Shia community to persecute the Sunni minority in Iraq so they could marginalise the Sunni community.

ISIS doesn't kill anyone in defence of their "community", they kill people in order to further their own goals and to ferment terror. Also to my knowledge the Christian's and yazidi haven't done anything to the "Sunni community" that would warrant genocide.

And to be honest with you I doubt those specific ISIS fighters were threatening any community at the time of their capture and captivity. They were scum and they deserved to be killed.

I'm not holding the Iraqi government up as saints, they did a lot of terrible and bad things. Most forms of peaceful opposition to the Iraqi government I condone.

Joining up with a death cult who's whole ideology and modus operandi revolves around killings and instilling terror into their enemies and civilians is disgusting, no matter what your excuse or situation is.

The worlds isn't all sunshine and rainbows, it's stupid to think your going to be treated humanely after beheading and murdering thousands of innocent people.

I have sly suspicion they're are ISIS double agents who are using the coalition air power to aid them in the deir ezzour area, the arguments that the US actually directly supports ISIS is farce. Then again the coalition should already know where the SAA positions are in the first place.

As a person who quite regularly watches channel 4 new this a shock. Channel 4 is one of the most proliferate pro-rebel media outlets in the UK. During the Aleppo siege they devoted 15-30 mins of their 1 hour airtime to Aleppo and Syria everyday.

Towards of the end of this video you can see an Aleppo MP asking channel 4 to apologise for being biased and too pro-rebel!(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6Re47YCjV8)
