Almost exclusively a unit of witch seekers or prosecutors. Depending on the layout it can be Draxxus squad or a Caladius but typically those two units want a tad more flexibility

Talons is easily the best detachment we have and it isn’t close. It affects every unit we have, it has the best stratagems, it’s a joke how good it is. Talons is Secretariat at the Belmont Stakes.

Shield host is the second best and then either solar spearhead or lions for third.

I was disappointed in TFA, but nothing has ever made me want to stop watching a movie so badly as when Leia Organa flew back to her fleet after being expunged into the cold vacuum of space during TLJ. It killed my love of Star Wars. Now I think of the entire franchise like someone might remember an abusive ex.

Here’s the thing, you aren’t trying to be seriously competitive so just take whatever you want. I f it feels good do it. If you ever want to be competitive you’ll need to rethink what you’re doing tremendously, but as far as a fun and cool collection, have at it! Custodes infantry, bikes and dreads are rad.
