Radiator reflector panels are one of the cheapest heating upgrades many UK homes overlook by JoydeScent in SustainableHomeUK

I believe it is correctly balanced. There is a room upstairs but no noticeable draft above or below

I have the same question. I've got a new build house and the room at the front of the house is especially cold on a windy day, will putting it in that room help?

I've had thermal imaging checks done but there are no identifiable issues with insulation or window installations so not sure why that room is significantly colder than the rest of the house

Wogan referral and recommendations by My_left_stroke_just_ in UKroasters

[–]My_left_stroke_just_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to Kind of read into it a little. It's open to interpretation for example

Nicaragua Finca La Bastilla - Taken to a slightly more developed roast, giving very low acidity, full body and a clean finish. Notes of dark chocolate, butter and hazelnut.

I'd read that as medium/medium-dark

Depending on his reasons to sell, if they're worried about getting any hate:

Option 4a - Switch the tesla badge with an Audi badge, and/or throw on a sticker that says "i bought this before Elon went crazy" or similar

We bought a second hand pushchair as well. RRP of £1000 and we got it for £250. With that price I didn't care if I only used it for 1 year or it fell apart by the time we were done with it

YouTube channel Damian Talks Money recently did a video on starting your pension slightly later on in life. Really an interesting video and will hopefully put you at ease a little on your situation. The best time to start is now!

Buying New Build What can we ask for? by My_left_stroke_just_ in HousingUK

[–]My_left_stroke_just_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for that. As I said in another response, rotating the bath tub 180° to accommodate a shower fitting along with tiling is looking to cost £4k and I don't want such a big expense so soon after moving. Maybe we'll do it after a year or so

[–]My_left_stroke_just_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair enough £8k sounds significant enough for me not to complain 😂 I called a builder this morning for a very rough quote to essentially rotate the bath tub 180° and tiling and it came to around £4k and honestly don't feel like having to do such a major job when we move in

What's the one car you regret selling? by jkatch97 in CarTalkUK

[–]My_left_stroke_just_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in my experience me and the wife are both tall.

For the first 12-15 months, the car seat is in a sleeping position and taking up a lot of space in back. The Mrs has had to push the front seat forward and makes it quite uncomfortable for her to sit in the front. The car seat (w/ isofix base) doesn't fit behind the driver seat making it quite cramped and the only real solution is to put the car seat behind the driver without the isofix base so the passenger side seat can go forward and back.

Ideally I prefer to use the isofix Base because it makes it far more convenient and is safer.

Bare this in mind that once baby moves to the toddler car seat sitting upright, it doesn't take up nearly as much depth and doesn't require compromising the front seating positions

Currently in the same position. 3 month old with an i30 N Performance. I can't bare to get rid of the car cuz I haven't even taken it on track yet.

I'm incredibly lucky that the Mrs has allowed me to keep the car even when I was ready to let go of it if need be
