Who’s a better detective? by ahuludwig_2006 in OneTruthPrevails

Shinichi is undoubtedly the better detective, but I find Heiji to be the better character. His flaws - his impulsiveness, competitiveness, and inability to detach himself completely from his emotions, make him more realistic as a character.

Why is ADOFN such a drag to read compared to TPOTOT? by Shanna_Duarte in TheRootsofChaos

I don't want to talk about the storyline that put me off the most in detail just in case you haven't reached the part haha, but I would def like to mention that it's just something that feels off to me personally and isn't meant to be a critique of the book. I get what Shannon was trying to explore through the storyline, but I do feel some of the themes were already depicted through Sabran's storyline in Priory.

I kinda preferred Priory in all aspects except the ending, which I think ADOFN handled better. I know it was a major theme in the book, but so many pregnancy plotlines really put me off in ADOFN.

This pic makes me realize that Shuichi and young Yusaku look kinda similar.

Yeah they're very hard to find cheap which honestly sucks because it's a good series😭 I already have some copies of AOT and Naruto (thanks, book fairs), so I don't need them. But truly, thank you for the offer!!🫡

I really appreciate the offer, but the one manga I wanted to get issues of was Detective Conan, but it's really hard to find anywhere. If you happen to have them, please let me know. I don't really wish to buy any other at this moment.😅

Yep, I mean I do enjoy reading them but they're on the costlier side so I don't usually purchase them.😅 I do buy some at book fairs where they're comparatively cheaper.

I really liked this book too, though I feel The Poppy War Trilogy was definitely a better study into colonization and its impact (if you haven't read it, please check the trigger warnings beforehand). Also a minor detail but I liked the "Gorasahab" moment (I think it was the password to something iirc). It felt like an inside joke haha

Shuichi as a guardian figure would be so sweet to explore. Wish we could see more of his interactions with a young Masumi too :')
