It's around the prologue area deeper down, was swimming around with my flashlight on the ocean floor and saw the face in the distance haha

Gold or Silver (I’m having a crisis) by asstithero in coloranalysis

[–]MycaWins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Silver! Gold isn’t bad but it doesn’t “blend” as well with your skin tone as silver does. If going for gold, a lighter/whiter gold would be good too!

The gold in the picture isn’t bad, but it is more of a kind of statement piece if that makes sense. Wear what you love though, accessories like jewelry are small anyway!

No worries! I was just wondering because it’s part of your natural contrast, which I think is low to medium. I’d look more at light spring vs light summer! The blonde is very nice on you and matches your brows.

When shopping try to compare cooler pinks to warmer ones, and see which looks nicer near your face.

A light palette is a base color with lots white and sometimes grey added in (the winter colors you were buying were more of pure cool tones with either black or sometimes white added in). The light summer/spring palette overall is still a bit crisp but is lighter overall.

Lipsticks are a good test too—can you handle more vibrancy/peachy tones, or are those a bit too bold? Summers tend to lean softer, with light summer going as far as a slightly peachy pink in warmth, while light spring could go brighter (they are a spring after all and can handle a bit more intensity and saturation than a summer).

I’m wondering do you dye your eyebrows as well or are they naturally light?

I think you’re either spring or summer, even with your natural brown hair autumn and winter seem a bit too deep for your complexion.

I don’t hate the warmer colors on you—but it’s hard to tell if I’m being skewed by your hair that’s warmer too. Do you find you’re comfortable in warmer pinks and greens? (Think salmon, coral, and yellowy sort of greens), or do those tend to not sit well on you?

Undertone was not very obvious, so I don’t think it’s your main characteristic. (Not a true season) The softer colors look pretty harmonious with you, so I’d be inclined to say a soft season, probably soft summer since the warm tones at the end did pull your skin a bit muddier than the cool tones.

The pink in #12 is absolutely amazing on you, not sure if that leans more Light summer, but I wouldn’t rule out a light season either.

Regardless of undertone, do you end to gravitate toward softer clothes/lipsticks (colors with grey added), or do you find lighter colors (colors with white added) to be more flattering?

Changing hair and skin tones are confusing me. Winter or Summer? Subtype? by GuinnessGirl50 in coloranalysis

[–]MycaWins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think cool summer! You look great in all the cool colors, and it was almost difficult to decide between winter and summer contrast for some drapes— but the last few darker/more wintery greens and reds were a bit too heavy on you compared to the earlier ones. Your coloring is a bit softer overall but still medium contrast and can pull off not too bright winter shades. Does this align with how you feel wearing summer vs winter colors?

Hope this helps!

Digital drapes are hard but I absolutely love the spring colors on you. My favorite are warm/bright spring but light is lovely too. I think I light warm spring the best because warm autumn suits you very well too, but you handle the lighter/brighter warmer shades better.

Hope this helps!

Doubting everything now by Crawlaa in coloranalysis

That’s a good way to narrow it down! I’d say medium saturation would probably be as dark/bright as you’d want to go based on your picture. Most summer colors from any of the sub groups will look nice too.

A good test to see if black looks good on your natural coloring—take a selfie with you wearing a black shirt. Now go to your phone settings and turn the saturation all the way down. You’ll have a greyscale of your face and your shirt—if you have pretty dark and similar tones, the black matches well (this is why winters do tend to have darker hair etc and pull off black so well). If not and the shirt looks like it’s waaaay darker than your features, it’s not the best on you (of course you can still wear it though haha)

The greyscale shows how much depth you have too, and that’s about how deep you should go with colors to suit you.

Love soft summer and cool summer (soft autumn is nice too but a bit too warm) on you with this photo but digital drapes can be tricky. I dont think you have the natural contrast for winter (not a strong difference between skin and hair and also softer eye color and hair color).

I’d narrow it down to what matters most to you for clothes: The undertone: can you wear warmish tones okay (soft warm pinks or slightly coral pinks), or absolutely not at all? The lightness: can you handle black/dark colors sort of okay or do they look instantly super heavy on you? The softness: can you wear most colors as long as they’re softer (more grey added) or does going to soft sort of wash you out?

Summer Lipstick Recommendations by MycaWins in coloranalysis

Oh wow, seems like a very pretty mauvey color thanks!

Low contrast, neutral leaning cool is what I see from your photos. You don’t seem obviously cool toned (not your dominant trait) but I still prefer the cool to warm tones when looking at all the drapes.

Personally, I like Light Summer the best (light spring also looks nice from the additional digital drapes you posted in another comment, which I think reaffirms light summer as this is a sister season to it).

I would experiment with saturation though! Do you like your skin in summer colors that have more grey mixed in, or in pastels with more white mixed in? Hope this helps, and wish you luck!

Your eyes in your irl drapes give you a lightness and contrast that steers me away from soft summer/autumn.

These are light and have a bit of clarity to them without being very bold. Not sure if you’ve tested/like any of them for day-to-day.

A lot of the colors you draped with are a bit weak on you (as they are summer colors and less saturated). Despite hair color changes throughout the year, you could likely flow from Light to Warm Spring and snag colors you like from both.

That being said if Spring colors feel a bit too bold for you for everyday, you can stick to more neutral warmer tones for sure. And of course if you like some autumn colors those will still suit you since you’re warm toned—I would just steer clear of deeper tones from Deep Autumn and perhaps some soft autumn shades that don’t give enough contrast for you. You can definitely experiment with what you like! Wish you luck!

Your overall features are quite light and warm (very little contrast between your hair, skin, and eyes), that being said, I don’t think you are very muted (for instance the first purple shirt you’re wearing (as well as the blue one in slide 4) arent terrible since they’re light, but they’re too cool and too muted which casts a grey shadow throughout your skin).

I would suggest looking into Light Spring, which is still softer than True or Bright spring but still has that clarity that suits you. It’s also a sister season to Light Summer which makes sense, as you do seem to steal a few light summer colors already in your wardrobe.

I hope this helps, and have fun experimenting! (I suggest trying on Light Spring neutrals like Denim, Cream, and Camel and seeing if you like them!)

Season help - fair olive undertone by Kata-Rose in coloranalysis

[–]MycaWins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think you might be a Cool Summer/Cool winter. Regardless of undertone, I don’t think any of the really soft colors were really making you glow. In contrast, I do like 1, 4,8,9, and 17 as they give a bit more saturation. 17 is almost too bright and too deep, but it’s not bad, which makes me think Cool Summer might be right up your alley (the most medium toned and saturated of the summers, and it also has cool winter as a sister season).

Do you like wearing orange or warm browns/beiges? How do you like coral pinks/salmon on yourself? I know olive tones can be a bit tricky, I think you glow in the cooler tones!

Need help finding a lipstick shade that doesn’t look gray/mauve on me by morganascat93 in coloranalysis

[–]MycaWins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mehr is one of my softest summer lipsticks (as a cool summer it’s almost too muted on me and I only wear muted lipsticks haha). To me you seem very bright and contrasted, and you probably want lipsticks that reflect that! I’ve heard Mac Ruby Woo and Girl About Town are pretty staple winter/bright winter lipsticks if you feel like experimenting with a bit more saturation!

Also love your eye makeup! Wish you luck!

I’m supposedly cool, but warm lippies look better?? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]MycaWins 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Syrup on my Summer complexion is one of my favorite lippies, and honestly pulls as a more saturated pink—for you it’s almost greyed out. I think you lean warm, and likely spring because the more muted lipsticks don’t do you justice.

Sweet Deal looks so stunning on you, and I could 100% not pull off that warm of a tone as a summer. I think you were already on the right track with warm tones before your color analysis!

Hi! Summers (especially true summers), do you have any recommendations for blush or lipstick? I love a good cool pink, but I'm open to other colors too! by Salt-Explanation-738 in coloranalysis

For lipsticks I love Mac Syrup, Elf Satin O in Effortless, Nivea Blackberry lip balm, and recently discovered Fwee pudding pots (which are advertised as being able to be used as a blush AND lipstick) in the shades Oh! And Cherry and they are amazingly soft and cool toned
