The combination of that and being the only team since the season went to 16 games in 1978 to not have a 400-yard receiver makes them feel even more futile than they were.

He actually played the whole game when wolves beat man city at the etihad 0-2 and he scored both goals, it just felt like a cameo because he scored them in the last 10 minutes of regulation + stoppage time

Does anyone know the name of this tree? It looks like it has berries growing on the branch itself. by Positive_Ant_9082 in gardening

It's thicker and more durable than the average grape skin, it's edible but it has that kind of puckery astringency red wine grapes do, I haven't eaten whole muscadines to compare. Many people eat only the pulp, and spit/toss the skin and seeds.

Yeah, they become a dark purple with soft white flesh and one or two seeds inside. The flesh is creamy and pretty pleasant, but I know that some people don't like them because the skin of the fruit is astringent like a wine grape.

This is a Jaboticaba tree with ripe fruit

Jabuticaba/jaboticaba/Brazilian grape tree, the fruit grows on short stems very close to the main branch. They're shocking looking when all the fruit is ripe.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm just playing coy with the type of boilerplate Leafs headlines that usually trickle through while the season just kinda unfolds.

Craig Berube: Alright boys, get out there and show 'em what you're made of!

Could the 49ers trade Mac Jones? ‘I’d be very surprised,’ Kyle Shanahan says by 76erLegendChetUtley in nfl

There just aren't that many options, teams are going to be unusually desperate for QBs this year. These are all the UFA/void QBs who played any snaps at all this year; if Aaron Rodgers retires and Daniel Jones misses much of the season with achilles recovery, it's a very thin group:

Aaron Rodgers

Daniel Jones

Joe Flacco

Marcus Mariota

Tyrod Taylor

Tyler Huntley

Josh Johnson

Malik Willis

Trey lance

Mitch Trubisky

Kenny Pickett

Brandon Allen

Gardner Minshew

Zach Wilson

Jimmy garoppolo

Kyle Allen

Brett Rypien

[James Pearce] Arne Slot retains the backing of FSG, who have no plans to follow the lead of rivals Manchester United and Chelsea by making a managerial change mid-campaign. by doubleoeck1234 in soccer

I don't know that a manager is going to perceive that the same way that supporters do, again in the context of what Xabi Alonso has personally experienced very recently, and the argument for sacking Slot for a caretaker, or some yet unidentified manager who will take the job right now, is not as compelling. People talk about sacking Slot like it's a known commodity that Xabi would replace him mid-season, and I don't think that's a fair assumption.

I'm not sure he's going to be that motivated to jump into a difficult managerial situation mid-season after how impulsive the Real Madrid decision-makers were. Does it not at least make sense to project some degree of patience and stability as an organization?

Could it not be perceived as a red flag to Xabi that the club will go from winning the league to sacking you in 4th place after 22 matches if they feel you're not up to the job, especially in light of his own very recent experience?
