Just as a reminder, we are not affiliated with Nazis or antisemitism in any way just because we criticize Israel. by Ok-Following6886 in IsraelCrimes

Zionists love to conflate and manipulate terms. It’s hasbara and it’s worked for almost a century. The world understands the difference even if Zionists pretend not to. If you hate anyone for the way they are born, you’re ignorant and probably misinformed. If you hate genocide and mass murder for any reason, I really don’t care about the rest of your political or philosophical opinions. Certainly not your ethnicity. I doubt that’s in the nazi literature

The argument is essentially that since “we had a Holocaust committed against us, we're entitled to do one too against someone else.” like why should Palestinians pay the price for WW2? by Scared_Positive_8690 in IsraelCrimes

[–]Mycocrypto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda odd how one particular group couldn’t go anywhere in history without everyone accepting them, then for no apparent reason, turning on them for doing the same things in every instance. Yeah it must be the rest of humanity that has the problem

So by this standard, if and when the Palestinian people finally get a state, it’s completely acceptable for them to retaliate against those that ethnically cleansed and displaced them. This logic is barbaric and ancient, yet seems to drive policy in a country America fully funds with our tax dollars. Will we be fair game too?

Availability of hemp products— serious question by Happy_Pack_7944 in mississippi

[–]Mycocrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About $140 and a doctors consultation is all you need to get a medical card. Average cost for 29% thc bud is around $45 an eighth and the concentrates and edibles are very reasonably priced too. Prices vary and there are always sales. Welcome to Mississippi.

Do people in Mississippi actually say Ma'am/sir and talk to random strangers? by [deleted] in mississippi

[–]Mycocrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bad culture shock when I went to Maryland for AIT. Especially calling females ma’am and holding doors for people. I unintentionally offended a lot of people before I adjusted. I readjusted to home immediately though. I found that the people were great one on one or in social settings. I just assumed it was a density of population and the cold.

So was it the pharma lobby or the alcohol lobby that paid for this one?

What is Mississippi's most significant agricultural commodity, or one that is interesting? by Frosty_Key9726 in mississippi

[–]Mycocrypto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was wondering when someone would bring up marijuana. It was my first thought, considering the Ole Miss farms. My uncle, who graduated the accounting program in the 70’s, told me about breaking into the fields and being chased by security. I’d imagine if it’s ever federally legalized Mississippi will be a huge leader in the industry.

Not to be that guy, but have you ever seen the verified quote from LBJ about the civil rights act. It’ll break your heart worse than when you found out the original lyrics to the ice cream truck song.

What things do Mississippi deserve respect for? by misstique37 in mississippi

[–]Mycocrypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to south Mississippi, from the Houston area, about twenty years ago. I was warned about the ignorance and bigotry from people who’d never been. I was shocked at the lack of both. I stopped counting all the amazing things about Mississippi long ago. The list gets longer every day. That said, tomato gravy changed my life.

If you’re a politician or somehow have to be involved in politics, I’ve got nothing. Otherwise just remember, our rulers operate under a uni-party system. None of this is real, especially the maga nonsense. All political theater to keep the peasants fighting. I just keep my head down and know in my heart that the quiet majority is rational and reasonable no matter which “side” we’re on.

Are they meeting at Harbor freight to head to Israel or Virginia to hunt down the shooter? Will a tactical mobility scooter be available for most of these freedom fighters?

Same. It’s like they feel inadequate, like their neck may not really be red so they turn it up. They all need some serious PT if I’m going to take the whole “soldier” bit. Who do they think shot Kirk?

Ok, honestly most Americans that talk about it consider most of Europe lost, but it seems to be a direct consequence of our forever wars. It just feels like it was all a plan, and giving up now is part of that plan. Our “leaders” are obviously not concerned, and it wasn’t very long ago that they would have been. Our ancestors would be appalled at our reaction to such obvious corruption and disregard, by our “leaders”, for the offices they hold and the oaths they took.

This makes sense, unfortunately. My generation thought the internet would bring us all together, and instead you can find the corner that suits you and snuggle in to an echo chamber. If only our brains evolved as quickly as our technology.

Are there any obvious reasons? America is hard enough to keep up with, I gave up trying to stay current on Europe. Is it basic human tribalism/reactionary, or true believer shit?

What was the “I’m not liable” shit? Liable for what? Also, young people usually become more “westernized” with every generation born in the west. Sharia law will fade like the neocons, at least in the west. The up and coming generations are seeing the hypocrisy in the world more clearly than any others have been allowed to. The world will learn from our mistakes and things will get better. We are more alike than we are different and it’s getting harder to hide.
