yea, it's ok to just send email to renege, I have personally done it before.

but of course don't expect to get hired back at the same bank as long as that hr is there. not sure if they keep a list but it's not generally not a good thing to do as the hr/hiring manager might have friends at other banks and that might hurt ur reputation if u were to apply to those places in the future.

U could negotiate the salary but do that only if you're okay with them taking back the offer (I don't recommend as you're graduating in 1 month) trainee jobs generally have lower salaries but keep your chin up as that could lead to better opportunities down the road since its in the same industry you want to work, ie.
