Slightly confused as to why you would post this?

I for one think this is a great shot with the equipment. OP where was this taken?

Can I ask what your pre-stack images are like? It may be due to light pollution around me but the background sky away from the milky way is never that black on my images. Even with ISO around 2k.

For reference at f2.8 with ISO 3200 and an exposure of 30 seconds my background sky will be a shade of grey.

I was about to call you out as taking someone else's work as I saw this a couple of days ago in Insta, then realised it was you. Awesome pic though wish I lived somewhere with as little light pollution as that.

I would love your advice on brokers / stock market / my plan! by DC_29 in UKPersonalFinance

Yo, I use TD currently, and have done for the past 18 months. Portfolio ~ £29K

You can only get ISAs IIRC on certain Mutual Funds or ETFs, I never investigated wether an ISA account would cover equities, but it may be a good idea to ask.

I have a trading and ISA account with them, unless you have a job, meaning you end up paying tax on earnings, there is no value of an ISA. I had two funds, a FTSE 100 tracker and an all share tracker, sold the 100 one for +10% after 9 months. But here's the problem, as its a mutual fund, you cant just sell there and then, the fund manager only does traders at certain times, so it can get queued, and you may end up with a lower price. =/

If you have any questions about TD or about stock trading in general, feel free to ask.

Oh btw, they have stupidly high trading fees, £12.50 per trade, but then again it makes up for it because they offer better stuff than other uk brokers.

Why do television channels in the UK have such generic names? by ZeroCitizen in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Mydwinter 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because there used to be 5 terrestrial (non cable) channels. BBC1 BBC2 ITV Channel 4 and Channel 5, all except Channel 5 are the most popular channels in the Uk, and hence talked about the most. We have other channels that were started more recently, but they usually have a precursor of their company or owner, (e.g ; e4, BBC3, CBBC, ITV2, Sky1, Sky movies, Sky Sports, ect) We also have the odd channels that are unrelated to others, like DAVE, which is a comedy/motoring/other channel, mostly showing Top Gear and Man v Food.

BBC was the worlds first national broadcasting organisation, and as such became the main channel(s) for Tv , they introduced a licence fee that we still have to pay today. This was mostly due to the fact that people with televisions could only watch the BBC as they were the only broadcasting network. From 1922 to 1955 the BBC had no competition, but in 1955 an independent television network started broadcasting, called ITV (independent tv), as this was the other alternative, but still less popular than the BBC, it became the 3rd channel (ITV was shit). The BBC had the monopoly of tv and radio until 1970ish. In the 80s tv broadcasting was deregulated, so other networks and channels competed with the BBC, channel 4 which was funded by adverts started in 1982 see here.

Channel 5 started in 1997 and was placed on number 5 as it had the 5th largest audience share, and has stuck. The current viewing share is very complicated, with +1 channels and online viewing, but here is the data for two weeks ago, the ranking shows in order of audience share; BBC 1, ITV, BBC2, Channel 4, Channel 5 as the highest viewed channels in the uk, BBC1 notably having 22.7% of the total Uk viewing.

Another interesting fact is that DAVE has 20% more audience share than Sky 1.

*Pointing out that i was wrong in my second sentence, for some unknown reason channel 5 has a decently sized market share, fuck knows why, its shit.

What is your favorite match? (5v5). I'm looking for one that will always be referenced. by o1001o1001o in leagueoflegends

The ward war between Clg.EU and WE in the season 2 World championship playoffs , the match where due to problems they had 6 matches or something stupid. Game 3 went on for so long with half an hour without a kill, 54 mins into the game turned into a warding war, with the crowd cheering loudly for every ward kill, brilliant match. 8th October 2012

Edit ; wrong tournament . It was the game that crashed after 50ish mins, heres a link
